Antonio Conte’s EPIC final rant as Tottenham boss in FULL

Спорт

Spurs manager Antonio Conte doesn't hold back after watching his side give up a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with Southampton in the Premier League.
TIMESTAMPS -
00:00 If we are going to discuss the penalty it means we don’t want to see other situations, it wasn’t a penalty for me.
00:40 I think it’s the right moment to speak after this performance, for me this is unacceptable. We’re winning 3-1 and in control. It’s much better now to go into the problem.
01:20 We are not a team! We are 11 players that go onto the pitch. I see selfish players that don’t want to help each other. Before today I prefer to hide the situation. The most important thing to become a strong team and to become competitive is the desire and the fire in your eyes and heart.
02:45 If I compare this season to last season, we are now worse in this aspect. We lost to Sheffield United who played young players, we dropped in the FA Cup.
03:30 We have to play to make our fans proud of us and to show desire, the fire in your eyes to win. If we have this we don’t go out in the FA Cup.
04:20 Where are the players? With all my experience I can tell you if we want to improve and to fight we have to improve that aspect. I see only 11 players that play for themselves.
05:05 Your future a part of it? You are finding another alibi for the players, finding another excuse! You do only this. Excuses after excuses. We are professional and the club pay us a lot of money. This is unacceptable for me. First time in my career I’ve seen a situation like this, the situation has become worse.
06:42 Why is it like this? Because they’re used to it here. They don’t play for something important, they don’t want to play under pressure or under stress. It’s easy this way at Tottenham, 20 years they never won something. I’ve seen the managers Tottenham have had.
07:36 Until now I try to hide the situation but not anymore, I don’t want to see what I’ve seen today. Unacceptable for the fans who follow us and buy the tickets.
08:10 I said I want to see the fire not that I’d seen it last week, I want to see the right spirit and not only in the training session, on the pitch. I’m not seeing this. Seventh, eighth or ninth place? I’m not used to this, everyone has to take responsibility.

Conte is gone by the end of he season, if not earlier. Althugh I think Conte is saying something spot on, he is correct. But as a coach, it is his job to get 11 players play as a team, not 11 separate individuals. He is not a good fit manager for Spurs.

Conte is a low key. He wanted a kick and that's why he made the rant. He also blamed all players, but there can't be all who are selfish right ? He basically shame the others who gave their hearts out. He also didnt took single blame for his failure and put it all on players. He also talked bad about club history when he is as brought to change it, not using it as a shied for failure.

He's a legend now - these players have no place to hide now, he's laid bare, what he sees day in, day out from his team. His passion, his fire, his desire to win is clear - he's laid down the gauntlet for his players to show their fans that they are willing to fight for them.... I'm betting they take the easy way out and say he's lost the dressing room, the players don't trust him... yade, yade, yada. Usually bought at the least in transfers and occasionally match fixing lol but never through amazing managerial work and coaching. Now he blames his tools as he ALWAYS does.. and this mentality of HIS shines through from the team.. no wonder its falling apart and players going public talking sht about him, because to top all that off he seems like a shitty person as well. I don't blame Conte for wanting out, we are a shambles, he deserves better than Levy/ENIC but then I don't think he should have taken the job in the first place, he knows what the club is, he knows who Levy is and how he operates, he knew that Levy wouldn't change for him, regardless of whatever promises were made originally. Mourinho said, "same manager different players after the Europa league loss." He was referring to the bad attitude of the players, and Antonio echoed the sentiment. These players should look at themselves in the mirror. In the All or Nothing documentary, Mourinho called a session where he bashed the players for not playing as a team and fighting for one another after the Chelsea defeat at Stamford Bridge. I support Conte on this. Changing managers is a short-term fix. The clubs must invest massively in buying big players with passion and hunger for the game. This is the only way to change the culture. Why is it that Tottenham is the only club that Mourinho did not win a trophy with? I rest my case.

Massive respect for Conte, you can see the frustration. What he’s saying applies to every club, where they have players like the spurs players (I’m thinking of Liverpool, my club) who aren’t playing at the levels they should be. Calling out that they aren’t playing for the badge, they are paid a lot of money and they should be playing for the fans the privilege of playing for a top club. The passion he’s shown here, just shows how much he does care. I can see him walking out to be fair, which will be Tottenhams loss

He said at 4:30 everyone blames the coaches and clubs for transfers but never the players not giving their all. There has never been a lack of talent or quality in the players at this club because they cost big money, 20-60m each. They are technically good. Conte is protecting and bigging up the club because it's the club as well as him being let down by the players. The fans, the club, the coach being let down by lack of effort on the pitch. We hired him for that, he wins things, we don't. Maybe we should listen to him for once instead of as he says making alibi's about his contract situation. He is a hero. Calling out the players to play for the fans and the badge. He's like a teacher who just heard the sub had a rowdy classroom. He's calling out corruption from the club protecting players instead of holding them accountable. Fans sing his name because he wants to change things here, it seems like he's the only one who does.

He is protecting himself the problem starts at the top Conte’s play management is also to blame when attempting to see out a game. Also he did not take the FA Cup seriously enough or Sheffield by playing a weaker line up. Sure the players might not be good enough but that rant by Conte won’t win him friends and influence people and seems like a farewell in any language.
