@@Mat2000IPAD Yep, I guess you didn’t see it live when he was so emotional and stopped singing, but the song continued just as normal when he was standing there crying. He’s a really good dancer tho.

the backing vocals are so loud you that you really can't hear what HE is singing in the chorus (this was clearly seen in the semi when he performed after being announced as finalist, and the song kept going even when he wasn't moving his mouth at all) one could even state that he only sings the verses and lets the backing vocals do the chorus

The song deserved the final but for me the best moment of the night was seeing how emotional he got when he was called. It was so deserved!

True. Both the lasers, the dance routine and Anton Ewald`s costume is as perfect as it gets to the song and the occasion. It is almost a miracle he has the air to sing, performing a dance routine like that in-between. Eric Saade kept the dancing less energetic, leaving him more breath to sing. For me, despite there are many good entries this year - far more than there is room for in the final, and some of them even out already - it is between Anton Ewald or Eric Saade. If either of those win, it is 12 points from me in Rotterdam.

@@Tvjunkieful12 He is very good but barely sings in the chorus. In the semi when he performed the song again after being DTF, he was so happy so there was one time when he didn’t sing at all and just laughed and you could hear the backtrack or what it’s called with no difference.

@@elmexelmex To me that is not important. Had it been live on a stage somewhere that backing would have been done by a backing singer. The best of them are very good at copying the voice of the star they are helping vocally, so when the star and the back up singer sing the same, it sounds like the star sings in a more powerful voice, and thereby better copy the recorded version of the song where the actual star`s voice is "doubled up" with a second recording of the star`s voice simply because the chorus sound better then. Here they used a recording of Ewald`s own voice. But it is tv, so what does it matter. With the energy needed for his dance routine, I am impressed he is able to sing at all. He should jog or swim a lot before, should he win, he went to Rotterdam - in addition to rehearse singing the song and performing the choreography at the same time. If he wins Melo, that is what he has to focus on in the weeks ahead. Not waste time and energy to do any changes to the number or costumes, just rehearse it as it is, and get it in the physical shape to be able to not only perform it to perfection, but to feel confident he will perform it to perfection.

I think this is the sleekest performance this year. He was so genuinely happy to make it directly into the final, all I want him to do now is win the whole damn thing. He is super likeable and the song is awesome!

Really! I'm Italian, I watched both Melodifestivalen and Sanremo finals yet a few songs from Melodifestivalen stuck into my mind right away (good or not, this was definitely one of those), while I can't say the same about our own selection...

när han gick till final och uppträdde med sin låt för andra gången så sjöng han bara i början av låten, sen så dansade han bara, eftersom att han blev så glad och känslosam. Detta tyckte många var oproffsigt, något liknade har jag själv aldrig sätt i Melodifestivalen efter att nån gått till final. Det är inte hela världen men han gjorde däremot bort sig 😏 men han är fortfarande bäst i Sverige på att dansa i världsklass och samtidigt sjunga✨

I was so disappointed with the results though because I absolutely loved Spirit in the Sky and then when Monument was released I was so shook because I even prefer it over Spirit in the Sky. So when TIX won I was so sad haha, plus the Norwegian version is WAY better than the English one!!

Don't complain about his singing, of course it's not gonna be perfect after that much dancing. This should represent Sweden at ESC.

But he almost always sings bad live, even when he’s not dancing. He doesn’t just sing badly because he’s out of breath, he’s just singing flat much of the time and hitting the wrong notes completely. Those high notes are painful and embarassing, and he needs playback for almost the entire song. He even sings flat in the beginning of the song, BEFORE he starts dancing. You’re just making excuses. This sounds like bad kareoke. Anton is just not much of a singer. He used to be a dancer so it makes sense that he can’t sing. Without his good looks he surely would never have been succesfull, even for the short time period that he was. And there are many artists who can dance and sing at the same time, such as Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, and swedish artist Darin. And Benjamin Ingrosso for that matter (better than Anton at least). Even Justin Bieber can mostly sing well while dancing. Singing while dancing is like the first thing that you learn when you join a boyband because otherwise how are you suppose to go on tour and sing while dancing for 3 hours every week for 8 months straight? Even if dancing makes you sing a bit worse cuz you’re out of breath, an artist should still be able to sing better than Anton, and many artists can (like I listed). It’s pretty basic stuff to sound OKAY at least while dancing. He’s not even out of breath really, it’s not that intense dancing. And he sang pretty okay on Begging even though there was way more dancing there, because the notes were easier in general. With Natural and New religion, he just picked songs that required too much singing skill for him. It’s not about the dancing. He sings terribly while standing still also, look it up. The guy is just tone deff. I bet he couldn’t sing this very song much better even if he was standing still. He will probably perform it live while standing still later, so we’ll see. But in the future he really shouldn’t perform songs that he can’t sing without auto tune. I miss the old days of Melodifestivalen when all artists could sing. Now there are so many young trendy artists that can’t sing at all but are still accepted in to the competition and voted for.

And people can vote for whatever they want, but in my opnion a perfomance can’t be vey good when the singing is literally painful. If he was in Idol or Talang the jury would crush him and everyone at home would laugh.

Underrated in the odds, although I also love The Mamas and Tusse and think that either of them would win. I love this song so much and can't imagine myself if this song wins and gets to represent Sweden this year.

Such an amazing performance. For sure he has to be the winner…SWEDISH PEOPLE you know what to do
