Anton Bruckner - Symphony No. 8 in C minor (Nagano/Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin)
Музыка
This performance was by Kent Nagano conducting the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in 2005.
I. Allegro moderato 0:00
II. Scherzo. Allegro moderato; Trio. Langsam 17:16
III. Adagio. Feierlich langsam, doch nicht schleppend 31:49
IV. Finale. Feierlich, nicht schnell 1:01:31
Although there are several versions and interpretations of this piece on KZread, I still think this is a worthy addition as it is certainly one of my favorites.

In 2013, Nagano recorded the original, unedited version of 1887 with the Bavarian State Orchestra. That recording times out at 1:39:28 - just short of 140 minutes. The adagio lasts 33:37.
holy CRAP what an excellent symphony and performance, exquisite!!!!

BTW, it is not slower than Celibidache, it goes 1.28.16, as opposed to Celibidache with Munich ( 1:40:00 or so) posted on youtube. May be you mean the finale ?
+Daniel T so any chance of uploading more stuff? These are great!
I see that your channel is very valuable. I would love to repost your whole channel, without changing anything, on the nice platform named Gan Jing World. If you agree with that, please let me know. Thanks!
To my knowledge, he is the only conductor, along with Celibidache, who conducts the finale in a very slow tempo, something I feel is way superior than other known interpretations ( Karajan, Abbado, etc...) and gives a completely different "meaning" to the music.. Great performance !
Nagano is using Haas’s "mixed version" 1887-1890. Despite the Bruckner's Kritische Gesamtausgabe is rejecting this version because inauthentic, this version remains still the most frequently performed one.
Good grief, slower than Celibidache!

+Don Terpstra At 88 mins, it's only slower than 1 of the (most common) Celibidache recordings: 1975 85.30; 1979 92.30; 1990 99.00; 1993 104.00, all with the Munich Philharmonic
