This project took about a week to complete this very old couch. I assume this couch to be 100 or more years old!

This is nice, but I have to do a similar one and am horribly disappointed that this is not explaining how, just a time-lapse of a project.

I have the similar couch that left over when I brought my 300 years old house. I opened it up and inside the couch is filled up with dry grass and horse hair.

I could probably do it with 9 yards, but I would quote 10 to a customer to be on the safe side. If the fabric has a pattern with a difficult repeat then it may be a yard or 2 extra.

while on quarantine I have decided to repair an antique couch like this. I am looking at a step by step how to video tutorial. Or any help. I have pulled all stuffing out and it was burlap and straw for padding. The springs look like they are in great shape but need minor repair to them being tied.

A job like this could range from $500 to $3500. It really depends on the martials being used to reupholster the couch and how long it takes to restore it.

I used pliers and an upholstery staple remover to strip down. To tack on the padding and fabric I used a bea 71/16-421 staple gun. Padding I used was dacron and cotton. You can also add new foam. You might need jute or elastic webbing if the old one is no good. To glue on the double welt I used a hot glue gun. Do you need more info?

well. it doesn't say it is a tutorial. Try searching for a tutorial before complaining. Seems like you are the one who hasn't done your research. These are professionals showing off their work. Visit their channel, there are actual tutorials. This video is not worthless, I'm in the process myself and since I have my antique already gutted, this helped me find the next place to start. Move along with your negativity, Karen.
