Your house is always so beautiful and now with the blanket of snow it looks like a picture postcard! Here in MN we just haven’t had the snow we’re used to- had a brown Christmas which is very unusual but we’ve had subzero temperatures which is normal in January. I too have been crocheting granny squares- so relaxing during the winter and I haven’t made an afghan blanket in years. Mine is similar to yours - ❤ I’m using rusty red, ivory and sage green for a Christmas blanket hopefully next year. I learned to crochet from my grannie who lived with us. She taught me how to make a grannie square and I made an Afghan. I have no idea where it is now. I also made a hippie like vest thing with a tie in the front with a Tassel. She found the pattern in one of her magazines. I haven’t crocheted since then. I need to start again. Bridgette your videos are so great and I watch and rewatch them all the time. There is one magazine I would love to add to my collection. When Primitive Place first came out I missed the first issue. I have all the rest and I love them. I hope someday to find it!

I love Winter.....it's magical, beautiful and such a gift of peace and tranquility. I named my Cocker Spaniel Winter because she was actually all white with taupe colored ears. Had her for 15 years, passed with dementia a few years ago. Loved your home and all the beauty of your friends antiques.! Phyllis

I didn't mean the beautiful snow was dreary. We have a lot of overcast and gray days here in Southern Indiana.

South of Buffalo NY with 4 degrees and snow snow. It looks like a Narnia moment. Bridgett we so love your enthusiasm, it is infectious. And dear Bridgett, YOU ARE A KID IN A CANDY STORE. Yaaaaay.

So sorry to hear your loss of your cat named Winter. Our lives are blessed to have our fur kids. I can't imagine life without animals.

We were the only county in Tennessee that didn’t get snow- we got about 1/2 an inch and the cold temperatures! I enjoy crocheting and needlepoint and I have an afghan that I need to finish. Those are such beautiful colors in your afghan. It will be very pretty when you finish. I haven’t done cross stitch in years but you and your Mom have inspired me to make a sampler- I bought the linen and have found a pattern. Thank you for your videos.

I love snow too….BUT, we live in Lancaster, outside of Buffalo NY. Since Sunday when the Buffalo Bills game was postponed till Monday, our town has been under a driving ban! Even our grocery stores are only open part time. No school, no garbage pick up, and mail if they can get through. We’re called the City of good Neighbors! There is a reason for that… we all help each other in this situation…. We feel very Blessed to live here.

You do lovely crochet work, your Afghan is beautiful. I just started a granny square Christmas blanket.

Winter is a time for the soul and mind to rest, relax, cozy candles, quilts, reading, crafting, etc and to enjoy the beauty of nature at rest. Yes snow sure does do that!! It seems around here, nothing stays frozen long enough to make it ok to ice skate on. I only tried to ice skate one time and it was an epic fail!!😂

Hi Bridgett your coverlet is beautiful your doing such a good job on it. My mom used to crochet I have many doilies and afghans that she made I treasure them all she passed away several years ago. I saw many items I’d love in the basement sale I only wish I lived near there. Good luck with the sale!

It’s is a pattern by Vanna White and the pattern is called Zebra Garden and hers was done in Black and white. I changed the colors and I only used two styles of the squares. Hope this helps!🥰
