Well that was a fun shopping trip. I really liked all the different things that you looked at and of course the things that you didn't pick but I liked. It was great to see Barb pick out things that she really liked and then buy them.

Fun! Barb, we went to 2 large antique malls where it was just us a few weeks ago. It was great!

Barb @ 7:00 The lamp color of brown and orange can be painted over. It's a super easy DIY because of the texture and type of paint on there. Trust me know one would be able to tell that was painted even if the person doing the painter isn't a crafty person. Take the shade to Home Depot, Lowes etc and they will match the paint to the shade color. Buy the sample size paint because only a small amount of paint is needed. Or use a paint color you already have.

Jeffrey, Cheryl here from Grand Rapids . I have spent much of the pandemic watching you and other resellers. You are one of my favorites and I never miss a video. Once Michigan opened up, I to my surprise started shopping and decided that I will have a vintage yard sale basically selling most things for twice what I paid, Am I stupid? I have no plans to go on line as I am just wanting to have fun meet people during this awful time and making money to buy to buy more for another possible sale this fall. Any advice you care to share will be much appreciated! I really enjoy watching your thrifting, searching and sales. Best wishes to you, Aaron and Barb . Should the three of you should show up at my front door, you would be so welcomed .......socially distancing of course. And if you like BBQ, my retired husband is just terrific at it.

Jeffrey, on a previous video you asked what a group of swams was called, suggesting maybe a "flock". Actually it is "a bevy of swans". This and other such terms, i.e., "a gaggle of geese ", "a kindle of kittens," or "a host of angels" derive from what is called "terms of venery", which came down from medieval times; there are many examples of these collective nouns for.groups for groups of animals, of people, etc. I've learned a great deal from you ( (and watched as you learned) so I thought I'd pass along a a little knowledge of something I've studied.

Hi Jeffrey and Barb. The kids' tin tea set with the tray.... All I can say is, WOW!! Loved the colors and graphics on the tea set and the strawberry tray. Barb, the pictures are pretty neat too.

A trick to clean a painting from grime, is to clean it with a cotton swab and spit. And that is no joke, look it up. It is safe for the painting, and it conaines enzymes to loosen the dirt. it only takes a lot of time. But totaly worth it. I buy and sell paintings and do it with the smaller ones that are realy dirty.

Canape isn't "Can-ape ...... Canape = "CAN-uh-pay ... (a type of hors d'œuvre) You just haven't gone to enough 1960s bridal showers! I loved those decals (new old stock, it appears) Barb found in the 40% off booth ... when I was little my grandmother would give me money at the 5 & Dime & a lot of times I'd buy those decals with visions of making beautiful projects. I loved the whole process ... cutting them out, soaking them in water & trying to get them onto the item you chose to put them on without any bubbles.....

You're most likely right. My FIRST thought was butter, but then I couldn't convince myself enough. It reminds me of those ones you'd put a little water on the base of.

Barb!!! be careful cleaning that ring with harsh silver cleaners because if it is opal, pearl, a sea shell, or amber the silver cleaner will ruin the stone!!!

Take it to a jeweler ... they have all the right stuff to clean them & they don't charge hardly anything.

It’s a moonstone ring and changes colors according to your mood. I think we all had one in the early seventies. Yours is slightly larger than the one I had. They are a lot of fun'

The red x might mean the item is damaged and price is either negotiable or as-is... the cigarette box @14:30 has damage on the flower...

Does this remove the old yellowed varnish too? From what I've seen, you need a PH balanced remover that will remove the varnish without disturbing the underlying paint.

That silver ring, that looks like a moon stone. Look for 925 written inside the ring or see the word sterling. That shows if it is silver.

I have watched a lot of Baumgartner’s programs & I think it would be quite expensive for Barb to have those paintings cleaned professionally. If you have an art gallery or artist shop in your area you could contact them & ask what would be the most unharmful way you could try to do it your self.
