Some amazing history right there. Think about all the hours those vehicles have spent on the roads in their early days. The history they all have. What people have done to get them to today. Some of those are over 100 years old! Amazing!

My dad was a mechanic at a local dairy, working on the Divco trucks. I was pretty young in the fifties, but sometimes the local milkman would give me a short ride on my way to school in the morning. Only one seat, so I got to stand. Being old, I.remember seeing the twins of most of these trucks on the road, working for a living. There is some youtube footage of some of these trucks at work. Maine used to have an extensive network of two foot track guage railroads, which went out of business by the thirties. The equipment was sold and moved to Massachusetts, where it operated on a tourist railroad, which eventuelly failed. Portland, Me. established a museum for the two footers, and the equipment was loaded onto a bunch of antique semi trucks and moved back up to Portland! Good camera work, Mike!

My entire life I’ve worked around trucks. In logging, mining and in the military they were our number 1 tool. Heck, I started driving when I was 9 years old in a 1951 Ford 1 1/2 ton in the hayfields on the farm. It goes without saying I love old trucks. Mike, this video was excellent. I felt an emotional contact with every old truck you showed. Thank you for such a great trip down memory lane.

That's a lot of old iron. Some beautiful trucks. Have always wanted to get one of those old panel/cube trucks, put a modern truck frame and drivetrain under it and use it for my furniture business.
