Antique Black Forest Musical Cuckoo Clock Circa 1900
A nice larger musical cuckoo clock with eagle and fern motif. Very original, clean, and untouched. 3 tune music box plays after cuckoo call.
This clock was purchased by my grandfather in the early 1960’s. It was the first of what would become a 200 plus clock collection and eventually spark my interest in the hobby.

Very good clock, interesting rhythmic melody. Do you have Flotenuhr? Can you record the following video about this clock playing all the tunes! That would be very interesting.

This is a very nice piece! I love musical cuckoo clocks from the early 1900s much more than what is produced today. I can recognize the tune, but I can't remember the name of it... Also, the gong hammer needs to be adjusted slightly. You can hear it hitting only the pin of the lifting wheel and not the gong.

The tune is called "O sole mio"! It is lovely to hear an italian tune on a cuckoo clock 😊
