Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and One Health.

Ғылым және технология

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the biggest threats facing humanity today. It will cause up to 50 million deaths per year in the year 2050. This fall into the One Health agenda that considers public health actions to be taken in the context of the relationship between humans, animals and the environment. The solution is to change prescribing and antibiotic consumption behaviour and to have regulation that curbs the use of antibiotics in livestock farming. New and novel antibiotics will however be needed. This video explores the political landscape that has translated into different antibiotic development strategies. It also looks at the future of AI and AMR.
