Today I’ve met with the CEO of Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Program, and we discussed many things!
This CBI program is only increasing in popularity, and we see more and more interested candidates.
Today we covered the investment options, the costs and the timelines, as well as some perks that come with this program.
If you want to get Antigua and Barbuda citizenship by investment, there are a few possible ways.
The first option is the Development fund donation, the second is real estate purchase option and the third option is investment in a business.
Processing time is between 8-10 weeks, but there might be delays if additional documentation is needed. After this you can submit the documentation to obtain your citizenship certificate.
An amazing thing about Antigua and Barbuda CBI program is who can be accepted as dependent in your application - and the list is quite long!
You can, of course, include your spouse, your dependent children under the age of 30, your parents, your grandparents, your in laws, and you can include your siblings! The only criteria is that your siblings are unmarried, and there is no age limit. Another great thing is that you can also include your grandchildren and their spouse in your application. This makes Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Program the most inclusive program on the market when it comes to family members.
If you have lots of family members and you’re all looking for the second citizenship this might be the best way to go!

    What a wonderful lady - Best information on Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship anywhere. Great job! I heard that the CBI programs require school transcripts some going back to elementary school. Yeaks at my age that would not be possible.

    @@OffshoreCitizen Could you do a video comparing the Caribbean and Vanuatu CBIs in terms of the sorts of situations each might best fit? For example, young, single digital nomad vs mid-career entrepreneur vs person who has or will soon reach financial independence and so has existing investments elsewhere and tax obligations with respect to those investments and is no longer concerned to build/pursue a career but pursue other interests and might want to retire to the CBI country either full- or part-time w/out doubling income/dividend taxes etc. I have been looking at the various CBIs thinking of, firstly, a 2nd passport, but secondly, perhaps a bolthole/place to live but it is a bit difficult to assess which program's conditions best suit which scenario. I am thinking of reaching out to Michael, but would like a clearer idea in my own mind beforehand so I can ask more intelligent questions and so not waste either Michael's or my time.

    Very well done video, great interview. One thing I was not clear on was the ability to add siblings. It was not completely clear to what extent they would need to be dependent.

    The main things I am looking for, in citizenship, are: 1. getting away from the covid lie. Meaning - No masks or shots to be required 2. affordability. Meaning not a million dollars or high 6 figures. 3. A tax haven. Meaning less than 15% overall - bottom line on taxes. 4. Beautiful climate. 1 and 3 are non negotiable. I am looking for the freedom that the US was supposed to be founded for.

    @@OffshoreCitizen I so much appreciate the comment even though I’m not sure of the meaning. I don’t know what that means or how to do it. I would have to depend on someone else, like yourself, to explain the difference and what would work better. Whichever gets me the most freedom I am willling to do. I’m just looking for the place to get away from tyrannical thieving governments which I believe the US has become.

    @@Jefleopard When he says you need to separate residency and citizenship, the country you’re a citizen of is not necessary where you’ll be taxed or where you’ll be living. You could be a citizen of a high tax country, with COVID restrictions, and terrible climate; but you could live somewhere that has zero taxes, no COVID restrictions, and good climate. That’s why you need to separate citizenship and residency.

    I’m curious why would anyone seek the residency / citizenship from these islands instead of an EU country residency / citizenship ? Especially for retirees with medical health needs

  • @OffshoreCitizen

    @OffshoreCitizen

    2 жыл бұрын

    You can get this citizenship in a few months, in Europe it's usually minimum 6 years. To get citizenship in Antigua you've had to spend 5 days in 5 years there. In Europe most countries require living there at least half a year for those 5+ years. Residency is a different conversation. In this regard it's often high tax vs zero tax but very few people will seek full time residency in these islands mostly it's just citizenship.
