Look up the game series that it belongs to. Easily one of the great JRPG series out there.

You take away a flexing duelist's ability to flex and they quickly turn into a rage quitting foul mouthed toddler. This is fantastic.

The most satisfying thing about all this is the choice in the sound track like my god it's been ages since i've played Ao no kiseki. Such a hidden gem of a game

"I'm nothing without my special summons!" "If you're nothing without them then you shouldn't have them." But seriously, Anti-Meta has been a major staple within my family since ye-olde GX days. It's always hilarious when a single card simply existing shuts down 99% of decks. Had a guy at our local tournies who frequently went to regionals and nationals. Whenever we would stroll in with anti-meta decks he would instantly ask to duel because while he could be confident his deck could beat 99% of mainstream decks consistently, it didn't matter if 1 single duel shut him down. He wanted to find ways around a deck that simply shut down his ability to do the most natural thing.

Feel bad for some rogue decks like photon. But for dryton, they can suffer.

Fun fact, interrupted Kaiju slumber can actually destroy monsters and summon anyways regardless of any effect that says you can’t, because the card likes to screw the rules. It’s the only card that can summon from deck and ignore Vanity’s monsters.

@@popopop984 It's just the matter of how card work. Interrupted kaiju slumber destroy all monster first and then special summon later. And since pretty much all monster with "no special summon" have no protection and the effect is continues, it lose the effect the instant the monster get destroyed so there is nothing prevent the summoning. If the monster have some kind of external protection, the card would still be able to activated but nothing can be special summoned

So if Monarch eruption for instance is on the field there's nothing to do but look for backrow removal?

In that first match I could almost imagine that Eldelich player just going "Uh...why can't I summon my Trap Monsters or my Boss monsters?"

@@duellinksantimeta7636 my current experiment is qliphorts with monarch spell and traps. There is better synergy in that format with majesty's fiend instead of vanity's fiend due to majesty's fiend having 2400 atk and 1000 df. I did beat a couple accel synchro decks, tri brigade and drytron with this combo but i dont have total protection for majesty's fiend just yet against things like lightning storm or even raigeki

I've been just having fun with Red Dragon Archfiends and Link Dragons

I run a similar build but I added moon mirror shield and equip it to pachy or one of the fiends. People just ram straight into them without reading mirror shield.

I'm glad that as long as my opponent doesn't have any others interruptions I can play through Vanitys by normaling Machina Gearframe/Metalcruncher and searching Resavenger for an easy 3k beatstick.

My friend played a variation of this deck. They had several mirror forces and a comp evac device to protect their pachy.

Finally, what i needed has arrived

My favourite cards are those fiend cards but this deck just makes it so much more toxic, thank you. I always love sitting there watching my foe panic as they see my cards can't be destroyed or targeted by effects.

Have you considered running Moon Mirror Shield in case they do manage to get out something that can beat over your special summon stoppers?

Seeing Drytrons negated from playing the game is so cathartic

there are 2 things that i despise in master duel, drytron + herald players, and asian tryhards, this has both HAHAHAH and it is just lovely to see them sweet ragequits, just lovely

Every time the opponent got to go first I thought "well I hope you enjoyed your free special summons because that's the last you'll get for the entire game."

I knew this would involve monarch cards.

I did similar thing like this too with floowandereeze empen feat. Barrier statue of the stormwinds 😂

Imagine running into a vanilla beatstick deck like Warwolf or Alexandrite with United We Stand and Mage Power, oof. But that will never happen unless everyone plays the anti meta deck.

This is a fine deck, I'll try it with some of my spare materials, because it's really heavy in SR's

Special Summons truly are the meta's Achille's Heel.

This is an interesting deck. A fun one at that. Definitely worth a try. 👍

This deck can be really solid. You really only need to run any fairy deck with kristya and then have some ways to protect her, some really old cards are good here, like anything that prevents her from being targetted or destroyed, but theres not much yo ucan do if they just do removal like banishment. Additionally, you'll need more attack points in case they do get off a big card, remember, most players have at least 1 Blue Eyes deck and almost no one has -never- played with Blue eyes. So be aware of that and pack some powerful equipment magic cards like Axe of Despair (you know the super old card no one knows about because its so old, a solid 1000 attack point bonus to your monster and can be placed back on top of your deck after its gone, guaranteeing that you draw both your big boy cards all over again for a solid 3800 boost on repeat.)

Better to just run moon shield. It automatically makes you bigger than your opponent by 100 points and can come back to the top of the deck. Basically axe but powercrept and consistent.

Just an observation from me. I have a lot of the cards in this deck, including Mausoleum of the Emperor. Wanna know something odd about it and this strategy? Mausoleum summons AREN'T tribute summons. At least on the real life card. So technically, March of the Monarchs does about as much as a screen door on the ISS when it comes to protecting your normal summoned monsters with Mausoleum's effect. If MOTM was just activated to have it there for later tributes, that makes sense, but as it stands right now? Unless Master Duel removed the clause that states "(This is NOT a tribute summon)", your opponent should be able to take out any of the Vanity cards with any destruction spell or trap with zero issues.

In a lot of situations the cards on the field prevent the opponent from getting to their cards that allow that destruction. They still do a large amount of tribute summons through Monarch's Stormforth and Soul Exchange, however.

I would actually build this deck to troll my friend but my god I would hate going against it. Thanks for giving me the idea!!!! I’m only going to use this deck my friends only.

Ahhh, so satisfying seeing Dryton getting screw over. Nice deck, might build one. since i play Yosenju Deck, it's not manly deck since your monster Hit n Run your opponent, but still a fun deck to play

Man really show how reliant everyone is on special summoning, then there's me in gold 5 without special summoning a single monster

Oh wow, didnt expect to see vanity monster combined with monarch spell works wonder. I build a similiar, but consist inspector boarder, dyna, water barrier monster + moon mirror equip card. The only drawback is this deck has small chance of winning in 2nd turn

Im looking for this deck build. I m so annoyed on master duel YuGiOH. Most of my opponent used to special summon ,i can't do my normal summoned. I hated that they dont put a time limit for each player atleast 2minutes. Several of them they eating the time in special summon. Me, i just have a classic deck as Seto kaiba and YuGi, good thing i can build deck like you made. Im so pisseed doing always a special summoned monster

Unfortunately March of the Monarchs doesn't work with a monster that was summoned with Mausoleum of the Emperor. Technically you aren't tribute summoning with it, but instead paying life in place of a tribute.

It's a good thing that the opponent didn't summon Prime Photon Dragon with Afterglow Dragon and Photon Dragon as a material or else you might get OTKed

This is the deck that made me lose in the most humiliating way

On one hand, I do enjoy seeing Eldlich, Drytron and Tri-Brigade squirm uselessly, on the other, this really takes the steam out of my train deck and I hate that.

This is why off-meta decks like chain burn are better than most meta decks. Most people rely too heavily on monster summons to win and don't have a strong enough back row.
