Thank you. Wish you the best in your Camino de Santiago walk. I will add that if you wear running shorts it will help due to better seams. Avoid underwear with many seams. Many of the products have small versions which you can carry in your pocket for re application. I suggest every 50-75 miles. Have a great time

Great video! Been going with the Chamois Butter lately too. I always get worried though that it will stain my shorts or that people can see outlines on the outside. Seems to work longer and can spread better that body glide (I use that on my feet, toes and heels). Thanks

Thanks Marc for checking it out. Chamois Butter has worked well for me and it seems worn off but still protects a long time. I like it since easy to apply in all areas. I have used in 100 milers with one application. I used many others before. I use body glide sometimes for under arms and chest area. There is a new one called Chafe Safe which is made by KT tape company. It is about same as body glide but much less cost. Have a great day!

Any ideas for a bike commuter wearing jeans? Whenever I wear jeans, I chafe, and it's really painful. Will experiment with "tights" in lieu of underwear to see if that makes a difference. I never have issues with biking shorts, but I'd really like to be able to wear "normal" clothes riding, if possible. I have "shammy butter", but even when dry, the chafing happens when wearing jeans.

  • @Runnerrwe

I would try the body glide since it is light film. The best thing is get pants which have chamois pad like cycling shorts. I did a 20 mile commute before and it worked well. Cyclists always say don't wear underwear with cycling shorts. One famous pro puts noxema on the pad which cleans and gives some lubrication. I tried it once. I would definitely not use jeans. There are special pants for biking commuters with the pad. Hope that helps

@@Runnerrwe Hey! I wanted to give you an update on a work around that seems to be working: I wear Dry Fit tights underneath my Duluth Trading Company Flexible Jeans, and I don't experience any chafing! I've been riding this way for a few days now, and so far, no issues! (Based on your advice, however, I do have a pair of Sponeed biking pants in my Amazon cart presently; I'm sure that'll make for an even more comfortable ride once I'm into them.
