As an american it is just so sad seeing people (especially the kids) openly display hatred for another race who simply wishes to live amongst them. Honestly choosing either side is like choosing one of two different kinds of poison.

....I remember my 1 year stay in Israel, when the year was coming to a close, the Dizengoff center in Tel-Av-iv just opened, around 1977 i think, I did a stint on a few Kibbutz, Kibbutz Mefalsim and Kibbutz Ha-on i think that one was called, (by the sea of Galilee.) Then I went and lived in Tel-Aviv for around 8 months. Tel-Aviv was a quiet place back then, i only returned back to Israel around 1987, and that was at Haifa for a few hours only, so i haven't been to Tel-Aviv since 1977, (spent most of my time in Tel-Aviv.) I lived down at the river side of Tel-Aviv. Yitzhak Rabin was president back then I think. It would be real weird to go back to Tel-Aviv, I probably would be lost in Tel-Aviv, new roads etc, I remember price tags on food like canned food had around 6 or 8 price tags mounted on top of one another, due to inflation that happened ever week! Nearly 40 years later and I remember many things, I wonder if Coffee House Approp is still there in Ben-Yehuda street, sorry I ran away the first day of working for you as a dish washer, I hope you can forgive me after all these years, just seeing the ceiling high dirty plates all around me made me run away…ha-ha.

wow, its awesome to see a jewish saying that... i have to say that by all ive heard and seen about jews in Israel I just really hate them... so racist, arrogant... so when I see a jewish like you it makes me think twice... Id love to see a palestinian state with the west bank and gaza areas and then the rest with Israel, at least this... and I really wish israelis and palestinians lived in peace...

Thank you Gabriela :) I have to say there are many Jews who think like me and you and who want a bi-national state (encompassing Israel and the Palestinian territories) where all citizens (Palestinians and Jews) enjoy human rights and freedom of movement without restriction and where all Palestinians are allowed to return to their villages and towns from where they were exiled in 47/48 - or are given proper compensation for losing their houses. Unfortunately, at the moment we find it difficult to be heard. But that is changing......

A good documentary. This is a right kind of way to make a statement. What's interesting is that Jerusalem, where different ethnic groups are most divided, are most racialist. In Haifa, where different ethnic groups live side by side, are the least racialist. Ninian Smart has said that in order to be tolerant you need "informed empathy". Can't also forget that Jerusalem's been the hardest hitting area what it comes to suicide bombings.

What does the man say at 1:50-1:51? Muslim Arabs btw if they are at peace with Jews would be allowed to stay. Christian Arabs are considered polytheist by most Orthodox Jewish rabbis, so that might be an issue.

Palestinians aren't going anywhere, Israelis aren't going anywhere, there can be enough land, food and shelter for everybody, together they can achieve so many great things and live in peace, but the old hatreds are so hard to forget, there is obviously bad blood between both parties, I would assume that maybe one day in the future, they can learn to respect each other, not love (because that's obviously too much), but once they learn to respect each other then there will be peace, until that day comes, the conflict will never stop...
