Hi Jennifer, I am using Altreno which is an Rx tretinoin in strength .05%. I can use it two nights on with one night off. I have been using for about 4 months and I am still experiencing some peeling and flaking. I am really interested in trying the Medik8 retinal. I am not sure which level to start. I do have mild rosacea, but I have worked my way up using tretinoin and I am also on Rx Finacea which is azelaic acid. I am thinking I will start with the 3. I’m afraid if I use the 1, I won’t see any difference. I would like to know what niacinamide you are using before the Medik8 and what moisturizer you are using with it as well. Thank you!

Hi Julie! I’ve been using the Medik8 3 and have absolutely loved it. Zero irritation and my skin has stayed smooth and no wrinkles have shown up. 1 pump does my whole face and I’ve been using it 5 nights a week and it still isn’t empty. I use the Naturium Niacinamide Essence 3%; so gentle but really keeps my skin bright and clear. For evening moisturizer I either use the Naturium Multi Peptide or the CosRx Propolis Light Cream, depending on my mood. Whatever you decide to add into your routine go slow and only add 1 item at a time. In the event your skin doesn’t like something you’ll want to know which is the offender. @@JScottBeauty Thank you so much! I have rosacea, so I have to go slowly and watch when I introduce a new product. I’m accustomed to backing off if I experience any irritation. Thanks for the product recommendations!

Just curious if you've ever tried the Retinaldehyde by Naturium. If so, what was your experience?

I have been using it ever since it launched a couple years ago at the .05% and loved it and when they introduced the .1% I moved onto that one and have been using it ever since on my face, neck and chest. I never experienced irritation, flaking or dryness, my skin loves it. A few months ago I moved on to tretinoin for my face and neck but I still use the Naturium retinaldehyde .1% on my chest. I’m a huge fan 🤩

@@JScottBeauty That's great news! Naturium's Retinaldehyde is certainly more affordable than the Medik8 equivalent. I have been torn between the two. What makes Medik8 even more pricey is the US$35 shipping to where I live.
