I check the soil whether it's too dry or overwatered. If I found the soil has bone dry, I water it thoroughly & in the overwatered situation, I reduce watering & water next with fungicide solution when 90% soil feels dry. 🌷🌷

What if the leafs are mostly brown? Do you cut off the whole leaf?

I generally cut back the brown portion. Because the rest of the portion still can photosynthesis. 🌷🌷🌱😊

Cutting the entire leaf off is best practice. Cutting a portion off will leave the plant open to disease. Don’t just cut off the brown part. I’m sorry but that’s horrible advice 😅
