    At nearly 54, Charlie Benante is still one of the best Thrash drummers on the scene, up there with Dave Lombardo, Tom Hunting of Exodus and Jon Allen of Sadus.

    This is not selling out. This is Anthrax to the core. This is straight thrash speed Metal. Evolving like they have done with the new album coming out in 2016. Evolving as a band is not selling put. I know fans want 1 among the living after another. Well they obviously never played music. Imagine playing caught in a mosh for the last 30 years. They are not Metallica with load & reload. They take pride in thier music.

    +Sd Ny While I agree with everything else you said, I have to say that half of Load and ReLoad are great songs, the other half is filler garbage. But if they cut out the fillers and made it one single album, somewhat like this: - King Nothing - Bleeding Me - Devil's Dance - Hero Of The Day - Until It Sleeps - Low Man's Lyric - Wasting My Hate - Fixxxer - The House Jack Built - Where The Wild Things Are - The Outlaw Torn - Fuel they'd have a killer Rock album in their discography, in my opinion.

    +Jan InsaneMTL Yeah exactly rock not Metal. I think Fan's felt betrayed because after Justice. We waited for the Black album to be released. It was a big thing, record stores counting down the months & everything. Real Metal fans & what they got was a hard rock album. With a couple semi heavy songs. From thier under Bob Rock they continued to try to write hits & snubbed thier nose @_Metal. Gaining Fairweather fans. Honestly after that I hated them. Until death Magnetic. Which was good but still waiting on the next Justice of Puppets. Never going to happen now.

  • @sdny7111

    @sdny7111

    +Jan InsaneMTL Justice or Puppets I meant. Nothing wrong with hard rock but when your The mighty Metallica there better be some Metal. Super Collider was the same shit but no one cared cause who expected anything? Now Anthrax & Megadeth are getting back to what we like. Good riffs solos & drums too. Slayer as well in my opinion. Lars will never be able to do what the others are doing now. Kirk can but Hetfield has lost alot vocally. Although they do have a great bassiest they could use more.

    Sd Ny The Black Album might be all about making Metallica commercially as succesful as possible, which worked, but I don't think Load and ReLoad fit that description. The good songs on there got great song writing and if you listen to tracks like Bleeding Me, you'll hear the typical Metallica sound, just slowed down and with that bluesy vibe added to it. I think they just did what they wanted, they didn't want to force themselves to put out another Metal album as they were in a Rock mood. That album would have sucked anyways, so instead we got good music which doesn't fit their name. I like the way they went.

    THIS is how to play live, with energy. With a drummer you can set your metronome to, and not rushing through the song but pick every note....Anthrax understands that playing slower means more enrgy. - this is the Opposite of what metallica is doing. And THIS is so much better.

The audio and sound clarity are "top shelf." I know that this vid and song were made quite some time ago (bout four decades now) but, it's still brilliant...keep dem vids comin.

    Just one f*cking face-ripper of a cut...to this day, I still hurt my neck listening to this just as I did in the mid-eighties when it came out. Nasty stuff... just f*cking nasty stuff...This is what Thrash with a little "East Coast Punk" flavor is supposed to sound like. Luv it

    Went to see them at Sheffield England in 2006 in a tiny venue called the Corporation, my mate said he wished they would play it cos they never do. It was the next song and it was amazing.A great live band and Dan Spitz was superb, I never knew just how good Dan was.
