Anthony Quinn Bay is situated about 4 kilometres south of Faliraki, or a 10 euro taxi ride from the centre of Faliraki. It's name derives from the famous film star Anthony Quinn who fell in love with the pretty bay while filming 'The Guns of Navarone' in 1961. He loved the bay so much that he purchased it with the hope of creating a centre there for film makers and artists. Unfortunately the purchase was later annulled by the government much to the annoyance of Anthony Quinn.
The Pier in the bay is featured in a scene from the 'Guns of Navarone' and is named after it.
There is a restaurant situated above the bay with spectacular views and the beach is mainly pebbles and rocks.
