The AJ v Fury fights have never happened due to only one of them and that is Fury. AJ also dug deep when rocked by Whyte and recovered to win by KO, when he got put down by Klitschko and got up off the floor to win by KO and although he did not win the first Ruiz fight, he dug deep to get up off the floor four times to end the fight on his feet and he has still not been counted out in 31 professional fights, with 16 of those at some form of title level.

Fury and Joshua were set to fight in 2021 but fell through because of an arbitration. So that wasn't Joshua's fault. Also, Joshua didnt just jump out of his seat when Ngannu lost. Ngannu called for the fight notJoshua

AJ has been calling to fight Fury for the longest time .. Fury vs Joshua was in negotiations for about a year, Fury’s promoters tried to keep it on the quiet and let Eddie Hearn do all the work, but reassured Him that a rematch clause with Wilder/arbitration wouldn’t get in the way. Then it did and Fury pulled out after promising to fight AJ. If You were watching, I’m sure Chael knows all this and just likes to take jabs at AJ so People like Me will come on his channel and correct that, thus giving Him more algorithms.

Aj today is more dangerous fighter than fury no ifs and buts about it, and a bad bad matcup for gipsy

I’m a bigger fan of AJ than most but do agree his “will” as a fighter is definitely nowhere close to Tyson Fury. That said, he will also be significantly more prepared in my opinion and pose and power threat himself, that Francis never had to worry about with Tyson.

Tyson fury retired/banned after his Klitschko win, so we never got to see fury fight struggling with stuff outside of the ring. Whilst Joshua was allowed to carry on with promoting dazn , going into the Ruiz fight mentally not there. Got up 3 times. Went straight into a rematch, when others said hes crazy. Joshua has never been knocked out. Eddie rushed Joshua for money, fighting Klitschko in 17 fights was clearly rushed. Mike Tyson said the same. Wilder wouldn't fight Klitschko after 33 fights. Joshua has had to deal with ups and downs in and out of the ring. Lennox Lewis needed 3 low key fights after being knocked out. But fury is definitely more relaxed in the ring, if fury was hurt by Ruiz I know fury would know exactly what to do. Joshua just looked like a rabbit in the headlights. This dig deep is nonsense, wilders whole career is taking the easy option, Joshua took on all comers . Joshua's only losses were to a better boxer.

Fifty year boxing fan here, who did a little of the sweet science. Fury fought a ridiculously STUPID fight against Francis. He very simply underestimated him and allowed Francis to dictate how the match was contested. IMO Fury believed he could win the fight in any style. He mistakenly listened to all the pundits - including our man Chael - who insisted it would be a one sided beatdown. Joshua won't make that mistake, and therefore is by no means a "lesser opponent." I try to never make fight predictions, but my gut tells me Joshua is going to beat Ngannou decisively. And Fury will have to answer some really uncomfortable questions.

Fury should have done what AJ did, and we'll never know why he wasn't able to. And you're right: AJ's "toolbox" was WAAY too much for Ngannou, but in the end he just needed a basic 1-2.

I think Joshua will take the fight way more seriously than Fury did

I personally think Fury was about as good as the guy who went to war against Wilder the third time. Not at his best but still good. Say what you will about Wilder but that man is tough. Fury did his usual magic of getting up from massive punches and other than those mistakes he demolished Deontay, sloppier than in the second fight but still superior to his opponent. I think that version of Fury was equal to the fighter who got bullied by Ngannou. Ngannou simply took away so many of his tools in a way that Wilder could not do.
