For Anthony, he had many of the classic symptoms of leukaemia: frequent infections, bruising, fatigue and weight loss. However, Anthony, like many of us, settled for googling his symptoms. When he eventually returned to the doctor, Anthony himself suspected by now he had cancer, and his suspicions were confirmed when he was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML).
Anthony is taking part in this year's #SpotLeukaemia campaign to raise awareness of leukaemia, its symptoms, and the importance of an early diagnosis.
