Спорт

Anthony Edwards led the Minnesota Timberwolves with 33 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists as they defeated the Phoenix Suns, 120-95. Minnesota leads the series 1-0.
Anthony Edwards totaled 18 points in the third quarter alone, which tied Sam Cassell (May 4, 2004, v SAC) for the most points in a quarter in Minnesota’s Playoff history. Cassell also scored 18 in the third quarter.

He is a kind of a superstar if you can put it that way but needs a little confidence polish. I only say that because of some cases in 4th quarters where he defers shots to his teammates which is fine, but if you want to get to level of a Michael Jordan or Larry Bird, you would more often own that ball for big shots at the end of the 4th. He does sometimes but also defers a lot. Nothing wrong with that with double teams etc. and want to take advantage of that but I thought his 4th quarter against Phoenix was pretty bad when they could have locked up the #1 seed. He has all the talent and tools and competitive drive. Everything you would want. He is only 22. Will be fun to watch where he goes to over the next 5 years for sure. He can always create his own shot regardless of defense with his back step or dribble ability and step control. He is definitely in a position where he is already approaching great and should only get better with maturity. I also liked his respect for Durant in the first Phoenix playoff game. He acknowledged Durant is his favorite player of all time.
