Anterior Pelvic Tilt Fix
Yes friend, anterior pelvic tilt is quite common. But that excessive curve ain’t natural 🫠. If your back is looking like a big S, here are 3 tips that can help bring your spine into better alignment.
1. Use abs and glutes to tuck the pelvis a bit.
2. Bring your ribs down to stack the ribs nicely over the pelvis in a canister position.
3. Give us a big ol’ thumbs up 👍 to help scoop those blades to sit atop the rib cage.
Boom!💥 10 years of work in 10 seconds. It takes awareness, time and work to Fix Yo S#!t, but if you’re willing to put that in, we’d love to help! Click the link in bio and take out FREE Posture Tool Assessment to know for sure which letter your back creates and how to fix it.

I'm not too far from 40, and still to this day get compliments on my posture, and it's 1000% credited to 20 years of gymnastics. I guess I was just trained at a very young age to have straight posture, and even today, out of shape, weak core, and the sloppiness of parenthood settling in, I still have really good posture.
Strengthening your glute and core muscles helps a lot with keeping that posture. I had a very bad tilt and now its not bad at all because Ive strengthened my glutes and core and I remind myself to stand with better posture throughout the day.

I personally don't have a pelvic tilt at all. I stand and walk with my pelvic really straight which I noticed engage my glutes and that's why I naturally have very toned glutes so I can see how on the other side, doing glute exercises would help with your lower back.
@madsulrik5rs
23 күн бұрын
It works because APT is caused by weak glutes and abs and strong hip flexors and lower back (which is the case for the majority of people). By strengthening your glutes youre pulling your pelvis down, counteracting the pull from your hip flexors/lower back. If you want to do even more, strengthen your abs aswell.

@@MoveU ⬆️ This is the correct answer. Consciously attempting to change your visible posture is more likely to result in unhealthy overcompensation in other parts of the back to achieve the visual look of correct posture without actually having it. Conscious corrections are only one part of the equation. A good instructor will not only teach you the nuances of better posture, but will teach you the exercises and techniques to strengthen the muscles that will reinforce this posture without your having to think too much about it all day. For example, these sorts of corrections are a lot easier to begin doing in a horizontal position where gravity will help decompress your spine and give you some room to work. Gentle mobilizing, stretching, and massaging of the area will help loosen muscle tension that may prevent you from being able to engage the correct muscles. Strengthening the related support structures will help reduce the load on the lumbar that likely contributes to the pelvic tilt. Eventually, the addition of external weight will strengthen the healthy position. In time, the improved tissue quality and muscle growth will be accomplished by better neurological conditioning as well and you will instinctively know how to move and how & when to brace in a manner that encourages structural stability.

Building new habits are always hard but if you don't want that pain anymore than you absolutely do need to be conscious about it until it becomes second nature. Mine did not. I am disappointed
I’ve been doing strength training focusing mostly on large hinging movements with good form (back squat, bench press, pull ups, and lat rows) and my posture has improved significantly. I did have to develop what they call a “mind muscle connection” with my glutes. I literally could not flex my butt muscles. This guy has a good video on that. Once you can feel all of this you realize all your muscles hold your body up and underdeveloped places will cause misalignments.
100%. Makes you so much more body aware & fix all those painful areas. I’ve been carrying myself all wrong since I was a child & assimilated how my parents walked instead of how my physiology told me to.

@@MoveU he was talking about her posture...Men don't need her posture
bruh putting my arms out with my thumbs rotating back clicked my back. That was fantastic hahaha
What can REALLY help for this - lie on your back, with your feet flat on the ground, knees bent. Get your lower back to touch the floor, and just lie down like that for a bit, and it will help you simulate that ribcage clamping doen feeling. Helps a lot with lower back pain too
So what I just hold it like this forever?
That’s normal lotta people have it THAT AINT REGULAR!😂

A neutral pelvis is ideal and most people have too much anterior or posterior pelvic tilt... even if the range isn't as extreme.

@@MoveUthis must be what my obgyn was saying when he told me my pelvis was curved too much to have a big baby. So he induced me a week earlier to avoid complications.
I have this too, I always chalked it up to years of horse riding growing up.

I just love how she does the thing she needs to do and goes. What… do you expect me to stand like this. Like 👍
I love the miss Kim reference! Make me remember my middle school days with mad tv!
"Does anyone have a camel toe like me?" You wouldn't if you stood like a normal person. It's definitely for clicks.
Study and work on some basic bartinieff fundamentals and exercises, made a world of difference for me
