Is it possible if you can get the connectors less than 50 cm long

Yes, this is possible. But the set as a whole is pre packed. So every new change, in this case two cuts, would cost 2€ per cut.
They could make an anthill out of acrylic they are easier to maintain than

We already offer a smaller set made of acrylic. The only things that are better/ easier about acrylic, is to relocate setups (as glass is heavier) and to ship them without getting damaged. In pretty much any other sense glass has great advantages over acrylic. Trust us, we are working with both materials for more than 20 years.
