Thankq for choosing this topic..ഞാനും ഒരു private സ്കൂൾ ടീച്ചർ aaarnnu..13k സാലറിയും അതിൽ തന്നെ PF,LOP എന്നൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞുള്ള സാലറി കട്ടിങ്ങും..9 മണിക്ക് തുടങ്ങുന്ന ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ ന് 8:20 ആവുമ്പോൾ ഉള്ള reporting time ഉം അവിടെ ഒരു 1 minute ലേറ്റ് ആയാൽ രജിസ്റ്റർ കാണാൻ പോലും കിട്ടില്ല...3 ലേറ്റ് ആയാൽ ഒരു leave ആയി അന്നത്തെ സാലറി *cut*... ഇനി സാലറി കിട്ടിയാലും എവിടെല്ലാം ആണ് cut ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് അറിയാൻ ഒരു സാലറി സ്ലിപ് പോലും ഇല്ല...വല്ലതും ചോദിക്കാൻ ചെന്നാൽ ഉള്ള മാനേജ്മെന്റ് ന്റെ സമീപനവും വളരെ മോശം..ജോലിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ഉള്ള പരാതികൾക് ലേബർകോർട്ടിൽ പോയാൽ..private ടീച്ചേർസ് അവരുടെ പരുതിയിൽ വരുന്നില്ലെന്ന മറുപടിയും..അധ്യാപനത്തെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു ജോലിക് private സ്കൂളിൽ കയറിയാൽ വെറുപ്പിച്ചു കയ്യിൽ തരും..

My mother is MSc BEd in Physics....she couldn't get a job in government or aided school...so she joined a private school in Thrissur...in 2003...her salary was just 2k per month and she understood that is not enough for a good living...after which she started tution and started a centre and now she is very happy and earn about 1 lakh per month and no one is there to rule her...she is her own boss ..it's been more than 20 years now she is in this sector. She handle classes from 5th to 10th both state and CBSE.

എന്റെ അമ്മ temporary ആയി 10-12 വര്‍ഷം പല സ്കൂളുകളിലും പഠിപ്പിച്ചു. എങ്കിലും salary 13k കുറവ് മാത്രം കിട്ടിയിരുന്നുള്ളൂ. 11th, 12th ആണ് പഠിപ്പിച്ചത്. English ആയിരുന്നു വിഷയം. വളരെ committed ആയിരുന്നു. എങ്ങകിലും അവസാനം അത് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു msc chemistry ചെയ്തു chemist ആയി പലയിടത്തും പോയി. ഇതിലും ഒരു 17-18k ആണ് കിട്ടുന്നത്. ആണുങ്ങൾ ആണെങ്കിൽ അമ്മയുടെ അതേ postൽ 25k വാങ്ങുന്നവരുണ്ട്. അമ്മയെ കൊണ്ട് ചത്ത് പണി എടുപ്പിക്കും, തുല്യ വേതനം പോലും നൽകാതെ. ഇത് ചൂഷണമാണ്. അമ്മ highly qualified ആണ്. പക്ഷേ, പണം ഉള്ളവര്‍ നല്ല ജോലി വാങ്ങി പോകും. ( most of the days). works അതായത് non teaching staffs ‍ നോക്കേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ പോലും ഇവരെ ആണ് ഏല്‍പിക്കുന്നത് staffine നിയമികാതെ.Public holiday's il പോലും teachers ഉച്ചവരെ വെറുതെ ചെന്ന് ഇരിക്കണം. ഇല്ലെങ്കില്‍ സാലറി cut. Kittunathu deductions kazhinj 9000.( school il മറ്റു എന്തേലും functions വന്നാല്‍ അതിനും ഇവരുടെ കൈയില്‍ നിന്നു പിടിക്കും). ഇത് ഒക്കെ കണ്ട് വരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ആണോ എന്ന് അറിയില്ല ഈ profession ഒരു താല്പര്യം um thonunilla.

Minimum wages act പ്രകാരമുള്ള ശമ്പളം അക്കൗണ്ടിൽ ഇട്ട് കൊടുത്ത ശേഷം അത് തിരിച്ച് വാങ്ങുന്ന private schools ഒരുപാടുണ്ട്. 10-15k anu പ്രമുഖ സിബിഎസ്ഇ സ്കൂളുകളിലെ ശമ്പളം. ഇതൊന്നും ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യാൻ ഒരു സർക്കാർ സംവിധാനവും ഇല്ല ഒരു തൊഴിൽ സംഘടനകളും ഇല്ല.

When you tell them it's too little they say that's higher than most colleges n that's true but it's not enough! It's inconsequential to them how we survive on this small amount. joining order തരാതെ guest ആയി വർക്ക് ചെയ്യണം. Hour based ആണ് സാലറി . ഒരു Month ൽ എടുക്കണ്ട minimum hr ഉണ്ട്. എന്തായാലും അത് cross ചെയ്ത് കൂടുതൽ time class ഉണ്ടാവും. Financial Management അറിയുന്ന ആൾക്കാർ പോലും struggle ചെയ്യും. ശരിക്കും മടുത്തു പോകും.

My sister in law was a teacher in this field in a very reputed institution in Trivandrum. Package was 25K, but not even once she got closer /full package. There were lot of hidden rates and she made closer to 13K and some months ~10K. She stayed to gain experience and move out of India. Also her passion is teaching. Like you said her husband is in IT abroad, so she was okay. She had to work weekends, computerized lesson plans (during personal hours), extra- special classes and always over-killing. But this is not the situation just in India. Even in developed countries like US, teachers are very much underpaid and they work other jobs to cover. This is sad situation all over!

You heard right. There's plenty of corruption. Government should either make appointment procedure via PSC only or stop giving aid as in paying salaries of aided educational institution teachers.

Happy that I work in a self financing college which provides reasonable salary to the employees... Yes it is not comparable with the Govt. Sector but it's better.. But I must say that clerical job is there for govt. teachers also.. My father is a Govt school teacher and it has its own difficulty.. The things is, it's less in comparison and the salary will be more...

I'm late to find this video. As a guest lecturer, I'm also a victim of this problem. We are underpaid, denied career growth to a large extent, pressurised to dance to the tunes of Management, and moreover we get stuck in this position as our experience will not be counted in any other field and we have to start from scratch if we move on to any other profession. Nothing would be left as savings if you have a middle class family to feed and EMIs to pay.
