No, isn’t like that. Argentina enter in a war with the UK to have the rights to own the “The Islas Malvinas” , but Chile help the Uk, with airplanes radar located in the antártica. Chile since that day with the Uk has a perfect relationship.

Norways flag doesn't look like that nowadays. That is over 100 years old flag of Norway when Norway and Sweden were united. Both country's have been independent after year 1905 when they separated.

Norway reached the geographical South Pole first, and had numerous expeditions on the continent. Britain also had multiple expeditions to Antarctica. Not sure about France but likely more or less the same reasons.
