Mike, I just watched this for the second time so I could show my husband. I LOVE what you've done here. This covers all the practical stuff and helps us visualize each aspect of the trip . So helpful! Your honesty is refreshing. You film gray days and sunny days (unlike promotional videos from cruise lines). I'll be watching this repeatedly. Perfect video! Question: How challenging is it to board those kayaks from a ship? I find it tricky enough from dry land!

😱 Did I make it🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉? I'm still on the Cloud 900 from this trip. From my landing in Argentina 🇦🇷 to enjoying Ushuaia and then embarking on my 10-day luxury cruise. I went on the Mellgan Explorer

Sailed with them on the Navigator’s maiden voyage to Antarctica in 2021. I’m sure all the kinks are worked out by now. The best was the round trip from Orlando on an A330 to Ushuaia. Not more than 150 on a plane that can carry three hundred. Sailed on Atlas several times since then. Member of the yacht club!

We are headed that way in February

Looks amazing! Im taking the same trip in november, im combining it with a trip to patagonia.

Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed the video and hope you found it helpful. Regarding flying drones, according to the IAATO (international Antarctic Association of Tour Operators), flying recreational drones in the Antarctic is not allowed unless with a permit. This policy was enforced throughout my time on the ship. Being unable to fly my drone in Antarctica was a missed opportunity for me, too, but still an incredible experience nonetheless. I haven't researched the process of obtaining a permit, but it is a task for me to look into.

In your video I understand that the parka is ours to keep and we can use and return the binoculars - are the muck boots free to use and return or do we have to rent them from you? If rent then how much?

👋 The boots and all gear needed to participate safely in outdoor activities are included. Besides the zodiac and landings, all other activities (kayaking, camping overnight) are an additional cost to the room fare.

Did they supply gloves as well? Is it best to invest our own gloves🧤 foot & hand liner? And thermal wear 😊

Hey! Are you going to Antarctica soon? Atlas Ocean Voyages provided big, thick parka jackets but no gloves. Snow boots were provided for landing expeditions. I recommend you bring thermal clothes for your outings in Antarctica.
