As per Wikipedia, Madagascar split from the Indian subcontinent around 88 million years ago.

Madagascar is was together with India/Australia and New Zealand hat is why not Africa. By the time Madagascar split from Africa was when Europe split from Africa as well. In Fact Madagascar is an part of Asian Continent, only colonizers forced it to be Africa in 1900s. Madagascar is part of Asia belonged to Indian its original people are from Yunnan and Taiwan/Bornéo. And Madagascar is full of wild cows , a cow from India not Africa as well
