In Islamic Money Market Funds, E.g. Meezan Islamic Money Market If i invest 1 million, Initial NAV is Rs 10/unit After one year NAV is Rs 12/unit. Monthly profit is coming in my account and it is showing in accunt. After one year, if i withdraw my profit amount only, how much taxes bank will charge me? 1- captial gain tax 2- WHT tax on profit 15% 3- or any other tax? Please confirm me. Like in video you told non of these taxes will adjustable, which means it is part of expense, deduct from overall profit. Is this correct understanding?

Mein ny Meezan CAsh Fund me investment ki hui hy jis k return abi 13-14% hain, abi nav 54.7 chal rai hy yei NAV 30 June ko reset kar k 50 pe aa jati hy kia humein 30 June sy pehly redemption kar leni chahea? Ya phir humein 30 June ko extra units b milty han jab nav price ko kam kea jata hy?

Itna lamba sawal😜 Answer: ager ap ko stocks k bare me pata hai to yes you should invest by yourself. But mutual funds allocation change bhi kerte hain. Ager stocks k bare me nahi pata hoga to ap phans sakte Hain 2. I think mutual funds dividends dete hain. Ager dividend nahi chahiye to yes take it out warna keep it as it. Paise zaroorat nai hai to Lage rahen, compound hote Hain aise returns I hope I have responded properly. Warna wapis pooch leen

السلام علیکم As far as I remember, back in 2020 there was a rule that a holding period of 4+ years resulted in a waiver of any CGT on mutual funds. Has that rule been revoked as well? 😒

Kindly tell me that is the interest rate(profit) more in the money market funds as compared to the interest rate of Savings account in the banks? E.g if banks are giving interest rates of 15-16 % these days on savings account then will money market funds give more than 15-16 % on my investment? Thanks.

On saving accounts the formula is interest rates minus 1.5%. interest rates are 17% so you must be getting 15.5%. but this is non islamic! Islamic banks are giving much lower returns. Conventional money market funds are very closely aligned to interest rates. So you get benefit of 1.5%.
