As it totally depends on the nature of our company, we might have numerous options like cafes, parks, museums or somewhere like these. These days I'm less likely to go to noisy places. Since I grew up I would prefer sedate places rather than exciting places. On the other hand, once in a while spending time in an amusement park with children might be fun either!
I prefer meeting with my friends at outside. Although many people thinks that home is more comfortable, preparing for your guest can be tough. New generations coffee shops provides convenient places to chatting. Suitability of meeting place is depending on purpose of the meeting and nature of the company. I am hardly an expert, if i were to big companies prefer to more fancy restaurants, on the other hand friends can meet at amusement park. But people opt to meet online at workplace due to pandemic regulations.
well since I am an extroverted person, I typically hang out with my friends outdoors such as parks or crowed parts of the city since I really enjoy interacting with a lot of people and have fun :) though, to be honest with you, there is nothing a place as weird as the ones you are offered to meet. 😂
Thank you for your podcast. when ı was listening ı has so much fun. and ı generally meet outside sometimes amusement park or good restaurant.
👍👍👍👍👍 Keep up the good work
thanks very much
Guys, you are smart and hilarious 🙌
I love you guys)
I used to meet my friend in home because it's sedate place but now i would prefer to go to cafe galleries or somewhere like that.

A nice answer! Careful with the articles and prepositions though (it should be "it's A sedate place"). Hopefully it's helpful =]

@@SuccesswithIELTS Good actually! I was a bit intimidated by the examiner but I scored 7 in the speaking part :'') he asked me about if I thought animals had music between them as humans do and why people feel curiosity of watching reality shows, so I used Rory's sentence of "I'm hardly and expert though, if I had to guess" i think that saved me haha, thank you :D.
Hi guys, I love your programme. I want to ask what it means ' cut out the middleman' . Never understand why he says like that

Hi there, it means to remove an unnecessary person or step from a process, usually where something is connected. You can find out more in a dictionary like this one: www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/cut-out-the-middleman

We use it to talk about removing something or someone from a process (usually to improve it). For example: I used to have my food delivered but I decided to cut out the middleman and get it myself as it's cheaper.
I do not get that Is Rory a docile, or sedate person... Actually, I guess he is like a "laodicean" mannnnn :D ; either he detestes everything about our life or he is against to everything that we have done AMUSEDLYYYYYY :D :D. Please Rory, wake up to oneself and enjoy your lifeeeeee :D :D :D. By the way, thank you very much for the episode, from Turkey with love...

question: where do. you usually meet your friends? answer: well, on one hand, as it is still a hard time as we re living in the fallout from the global pandemic where virus can be easily spread by people meeting. so meeting at houses would be great for the situation. on the other hand, some of my friends just prefer excitement and show no interest in sedate places like cafe, meeting in a playpark would be better as that is the purpose of being happy there.
