--- I'm doing a Master's in Plant, Environmental, and Soil Sciences, specializing in precision agriculture.
* Did I get a scholarship?
--- Yes, I got a research assistantship, which means that I am working as a research assistant, I get a monthly stipend as a living expense and my tuition fee is waived.
*How did I get the assistantship?

Is it a good idea for me to land on new orleans airport and then maybe use some other mode of transportation to baton rogue? The ticket prices to Baton Rogue from Nepal are too much.

In such situations, you ll be competing with other students for the assistantship and department might decide this. Maybe you can tell the professor directly that you want to make sure you get the financial support for your studies before you apply and you are ready for any type of interview prior to that.
I'll be completing my hons degree from field of agriculture, currently i m in 7th sem , should i start approaching professors for assistanceship and do i neet gmat?
