Such a wonderful video! I love Agatha Christie!! Only read, six of her books so far, but plan to read more. They're also quick reads -- so when you want something light.

Another great video! Was super interesting -- loved learning about you and your channel -- so glad to see book tubers your age -- especially one that is so well versed in fantasy and sci-fi. Also like to see people who like multiple genres -- always think it is so limiting to just read one genre.

Thank you so much! There are a few of us around but we can be hard to find. And I agree it is more interesting reading multiple genres. I really appreciate that you've taken the time to comment on my videos.

Lovely video! ☺️ I love seeing all of your bookcases, they're absolutely beautiful. My parents had a German Shepherd named Gretchen when I was very little. I don't remember her very well, but somewhere I do have a photograph of myself with her when I was about two years old. My personal favorite breed of dogs is Golden Retrievers. I had a female I named Karma when I was a teenager. She lived to be 12 years old. Currently, we have our boy, Max & also my oldest daughter's dog, Colt, who is a beagle.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it and thank you, I love my bookcases. Golden Retrievers are delightful dogs, if I got a second dog it might be a Goldie. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you, for answering my questions. In the beginning of the video, you mentioned that you don’t like Bookclubs because you are forced to read a book you don’t like. Have you ever thought of starting a Silent Bookclub? They are now becoming very popular.

@@mtnshelby7059 Actually, you could start your own if you wanted to. All it is is just people bringing their own books and they sit in silence reading for a while. I am sure if you look this up online on how to start one it would be of help to you.😊

There is a book shop near my town, like that shop "Border" you mention in the video, they have a big cosy cafe, next to two BIG rooms, with a lot of fantasy and sci-fi book, they have collecters items and board games and manga and everything related. They have a scary model of Godzilla thats 3 heads taller than a human. Its the best book shop 👌

That arm chair looks so comfy and cosy!! I sometimes think about starting a book club where a group of people just meet up every so often and talk about any books they have loved recently and why. That way everyone can have book recommnedations and you don't have to read hooks you may not be interested in!

Thank you for taking your time to answer all of these! I loved hearing your thoughts and experiences! I also will now see it as a personal challenge to find a YA or nonfiction that would interest you ;) Naw naw, I jest. (unless you had been in historical ficiton camp. I do have a go to "technically YA for people who don't read YA" that I will force at others) I don't push things on people they don't want/don't ask for. I find it curious that you don't read more scifi if star wars is so special to you--even though it's certainly more fantasy heavy end of scifi it's not alone in that aspect. Not trying to convince you otherwise! I find it unique as many scifi/fantasy fans bleed over if they start on the fantasy side it seems. As someone who adores wolves to no end I have to agree that there's something about shepherds and huskies that really strike that vibe. Though not wolf like I've also recently developed a softspot for wolfhounds. But if we're being honest, as much as I love all the fuzzies (cats included--my own would be offended if I said else!) as long as it's medium sized- large I am probably goin to want to steal someone's dog if I run into them... such a canine person.

Thank you so much. 😊 I don't rule out all YA but find most doesn't appeal to me, and historical fiction isn't my cup of tea either. Sci-fi films don't require you to understand the science, and I think I'm more drawn to the ideas/ concepts of what our future might look like. Plus the spec effects are awesome. And I am finding myself more drawn to sci-fi now, though fantasy is still my 1st love. You and I are alike with dogs. I'm always looking at the dog first, people second. 😂

@@NerdyKathi I certainly read a LOT less YA mostly because i'm not keen on such heavy emphasis on romance when I'm there to read a different genre but it takes over. I have a hard time with sci-fi that goes hard on the science and military side as well. I think i'm more on your line of more about conceptual. People eeeeh... puppies GIMMIE.

On YA I'd recommend The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander -- such a beautiful series. And still think Harry Potter is an incredible series. There is a reason it sold so many books.

I love To Kill a Mockingbird, too. It's not my favorite, but that's only because I have a whole list of favorites (this is one of them). Pride and Prejudice is another. So is T.S.Eliot's Four Quartets. And a couple of Robert Barnard's books - esp. School For Murder and Bodies. Then I have a long, long list of books I reread from time to time, but when I'm in the mood.
