Great video! Would love to see one on why/why not to feed wild bugs. Working outside mine gets a variety of mantis, wheel bugs, katydids, cicadas, inch worms and the occasional horsefly off the homestead. Have learned tons from your videos, thanks and keep up the great work!

Thank you! Wild bugs come with a possibility of passing things like parasites and pesticides to your chameleon. Lots of people haven’t had issues feeding wild bugs, but other people have had issues so I recommend against it.

My second youngest male is a people whore. He will straight up chase people down and try to reach out and grab anyone walking by. Hes also does tricks for attention. My female on the other hand thinks all of humanity is evil and is having none of that touching or coming out. Most of my other chameleons are super old and don't care about anything aside from bugs and water. They'll tolerate, because they're too old to really care anymore (my mellers just turned 14 and I'm building a vet setup because he's starting to lose his ability to climb well). One of the things I love about chameleons, aside from the reasons everyone loves the magic colour changing LSD fail lizards, is the amount of variety not just between species but individuals. No two chameleons are the same.

There’s lots of different reasons why chameleons change colors and unfortunately it’s not a one size fits all. But I do have this video already on why a chameleon might be a darker color: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZqfsY-uZaebgc4.htmlsi=U0fEgGw3L67kRPd1

Hello, im an 11 year old doing a lot of resesrch on chameleons for a couple of years, but I saw a mod on the r/Chameleon subreddit, saying that misting Chameleon cages isnt hydrating them enough, and that you need to train them to drink from like a water cup, since that provides way more hydration, is that true??

The Reddit community is pretty strict about the care advice they give. I'd like to think there is more than 1 way to successfully keep a chameleon and try to keep my advice as naturalistic as possible instead of training my chameleons to do something. The Chameleon Academy did a great podcast episode on the pros and cons to drinking from a water glass: chameleonacademy.com/s8-e3-should-we-give-chameleons-water-cups/
