I grew up in church, worked in church and been baptized but in times I really needed God to intervene, the answer was always NO OR NOTHING. To save my mother and wife who died of the same thing ! Strange but true. Like I said the answer was........NO, when I begged for help. Let me guess that's the working in mysterious ways right ? Anyway, here's my question....... explain this , The confederate states and it's people used Jesus own words to justify slavery and it's seems reading the following one could very well have concluded that indeed they were correct because after reading the following; Colossians 3:22 , Ephesians 6:5 and Peter 2:18 it sounds to me like Jesus agreed with slavery . I am black and I want to know , if in fact we are equal in the eyes of God why must there be one master and one slave ? He even says that if a slave is disobedient in what the master wants , the master has the right to deliver many blows but this is God ? Explain this ..... if you can.

I think Satan is a great deceiver. I’m sure the scripture was manipulated for their benefit. Just remember that any Master over anyone must also be judged by God who is the Master of All. I do not believe God justifies slavery because He freed the Israelites from Egypt by using Moses.

Even though this is an old post, it's New to me. Hopefully someone can answer this for me..... Everyone repeats the line "GOD NEVER GIVES US MORE THAN WE CAN HANDLE" BUT A PASTOR SAID THE OTHER DAY THAT "NOWHERE IS THAT SAID IN THE BIBLE"...... because whenever I heard someone say that I always wondered why someone committed suicide. Something Must have more than they could handle. Even among people that believed the Bible. So it was a question I could Never answer! Besides perhips a mental illness?? I don't know

@@ghostwalker5644 wow. I just watched this video and saw your question. I hope my response is seen by you, and that maybe it helps, regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey at this point. So many messages out there speak to the children of God and not just all humans. Like Romans 8:28 - And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love him...NOT THE WHOLE WORLD. Just for those who love him, and are called according to his purpose. So, my understanding is that when we are saved believers - not even just believers, but truly SAVED, filled with the Spirit - we are able to overcome. God doesn't cause mental illness or cancer or any other disease we humans have. God doesn't tempt us to do wrong, or commit suicide. That is the work of satan. Mental illness is such a tangled web and I believe it is satan's tool. God doesn't make us that way, but when we do not turn to God for protection and peace, we we don't surrender to him and become his children, the evil one wins. I hope this helps. God bless :)

YES I AGREE 💯... I recently had a conversation with a so called atheist [I say "so called" cause he actually said he didn't know if he was or not 🤷🏼‍♀️] but anyway, as I was trying to share the gospel with him he kept asking questions and saying that this contradicts this and that and I was getting frustrated but I took a breath and asked the Lord to give me the words to say so I said just talk to God and you will see he's real. I wish i would've watched this video beforehand lol. Your right though it does gives you the confidence and courage to talk to someone that may not know God or believe in God.

What’s crazy to me is that I had the experiences promised in the Bible when I turned to Jesus, but I did not know what these promises were. I learned about them after I experienced them and still learning them. The book validates itself after the fact and it’s absolutely incredible for me. I was saved about a month ago.

@@jsmcmxlvii Actually, science does not concern itself with the Bible or religion for that matter and that is a good thing because the Bible speaks of a flat earth or that the stars will reign down onto Earth, for example. Science works outside of the supernatural which cannot be proven via scientific methods and maybe doesn't exist, maybe. The Bible appears to be written by ignorant people at the time which is no surprise as they didn't have access to the tools and methods we have today. We have come a long way as a result of science which provides far more evidence and understanding of the world we live in than religion ever could.

Pastor Greg is such a wonderful teacher, God has truly ANNOITED him and his values and outlook on everything is still the same. I know that sounds crazy, but some preachers/teachers stray away and try to "fit in" with the culture so they dnt make others mad but still try to say they are preaching "the truth"! Thanks so much for your God blessed work! Too I would add to the question how can God allow misery. I used to ask this too before i was saved and is still the number one counter argument when I try to "sell Jesus" - I prayer and found this amazingly - in 1 Samuel 8 the people asked for an earthly king. God was with the people as a pillar of fire at night and cloud during the day, but they still rejected Him. Samuel warned the people with a list of what would happen to them which sounds much like our lost world today - taxes, armies, greed, misuse, etc. I found out how can we blame God for the issues in our lives today if God is totally separated and rejected. Now this world is full of the worst of mankind's mismanagement can bring, but we want to blame God for evilness breeding viruses in labs, leaving the poor while prosperity preachers live in haughty mansions, greed iof corporations, polution of the earth, etc, etc. etc. God bless and thanks

God never gives us more than we can handle "With Him"... With Him is the important part. We lost a daughter and it is absolutely more than I can handle on my own. I would not be here today if it wasn't for God carrying me. The goal is that we lean on Him. We wouldn't lean on Him if we could handle life and the trials He has for us.

Most importantly, answer a non believer _HONESTLY._ 1) Don't ignore the question. (Disabling ratings, deleting comments and blocking non-Christians is common on KZread, for instance.) 2) Give direct and succinct answers to direct and succinct question. Avoid off-topic remarks and diversionary questions. 3) If you don't know the answer, say "I don't know." Credibility and believability is lost when a response is loaded with unreported claims or unsupported assertions. 4) No one can read minds. Don't tell a non-believer what they think, know, or believe. ("You think something came from nothing.") 5) Don't twist words or conflate definitions. ("Evolution is just a theory.") I hope that helps. Please let me know if any questions!

What an incredible look at the Bible. your have a very beautiful look at how GOD LOVES US . My sons respiratory therapist. He’s kind of in between he see such suffering. I pray the prayer often it’s through the suffering he sees Jesus 49:44 and will understand GOD HAS A PLAIN . Once someone told me look at a tapestry on the front or a beautiful, crocheted scarf, blanket, whatever it looks so perfect that’s what God sees. Look at the back of it all knotted tangled threads not tidy that’s what most of us see. if you haven’t heard that and I’m sure you have a include it in one of your more recent teachings, may God bless you in a mighty way. We’ve already been blessed to be able to hear you speak.

The point Greg makes around the 10 minutes mark where he, and many other Christians claim that "God doesn't give you more than you can handle" has to be qualified with a few terms of appropriacy for the sake of clarity. That statement does not mean you will never feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or feel out of control of yourself or your circumstances. It simply means that the Lord provides a way in or out if you seek Him within the eye of the hurricane, so to speak. The recent Word Faith heresy that's ravaging the land takes that promise literally and evangelizes in such a way that *any* Christian who feels overwhelmed isn't *truly* in unity and communion with the Trinity and something is amiss in their life. The truth is, God will intentionally give you more than you can handle because it allows us to see how fragile, vulnerable, and weak we really are. Do you honestly believe Job was able to handle the massacre of his family, the rejection and cursing from his wife, the loss of nearly all his livestock, and be covered in painful lesions? If ever there was a person in all humanity who was given an ineffable volume of pain more than he could handle, it was Job. Therefore, the saying "God won't give you more than you can handle" is better said, "You can handle anything because of the God you serve". The Lord understands the depths of a human's ability to suffer before breaking into madness completely. We must actively call out to Him for aid in those moments we feel our sanity slipping. In that way, we can handle whatever comes to pass.

Before I came to Christ, I met a nice Christian lady (the mother of my then-boyfriend). She talked about her faith and I asked some questions about Christianity, all very respectful. She was able to answer some, but to others she simply replied “I don’t know.” I really respected her honesty and humility, and I continued my very gradual acceptance of Christ after that. So if you don’t know an answer, just say so. If the person seems like they sincerely want to know, you can tell them you’ll research it and come back later to share what you’ve learned. If they are not sincere and are being antagonistic, you may or may not follow up; I would pray for wisdom on that.

I agree with you, TheBravePoptart, however, I believe God is always in control because He's sovereign and holds ultimate power. Sometimes we suffer--as Christians--because we are "fellowshipping" with Jesus' sufferings (Philippians 3:10). And we as Christians MUST suffer persecutions (2 Timothy 3:12). In our sufferings we realized our dependency on God to see us through it, or how to endure sufferings through faith in Him. Like the old proverbial saying, if we never had any rain in lives, then we'd never grow. We'd never appreciate the good times if we'd never experienced the bad. We'd never know the miraculous power of God if we never experienced deliverance. Neither would we experience God’s mercy if we avoided sufferings. And, yes, sometimes we don’t understand the reasons for sufferings, and that’s when faith is tested. We trust in God’s sovereignty, even when we don’t understand because He’s too wise to make a mistake, and too just to do anything wrong. Have a blessed day.
