I have to have a visiting nurse come here today to help change my UNABOOTS I have two toes with wounds on them from having my ingrown toenail’s surgery last year. They haven’t been healing ❤️‍🩹 up like they should. I found out this year that I am a different sugar I have very low sugar type diabetes. When it drops too low I could pass out but I have not had that happen yet thank God. After my shower a while ago I got didn’t mean for them to get wet I use large garbage bags around my legs and then duct tape them I thought I had them sealed pretty good but turned out both my feet got wet and that means both legs are wet and Una boots have to be changed. Two points if I may: 1) You come across charming and a person who is fun to be with; not an inconvenience. 2) I have a friend who had an injury which landed her in a wheelchair for maybe 2 month; a period during which she did not want to "inconvenience" me. Regrettably, I failed to convince her that as a friend, it is not an inconvenience at all, it is actually a pleasure (yes a pleasure) to help our friends. And to be honest, it bothered me that she rejected my help whenever I offered it, but later on I realized that she actually gets pleasure when she gets things done alone without help. I hope you do not find this confusing.

Also, we have the same problem when we travel to places. The restroom! Sometimes their shower chair isn’t sturdy enough, i bring my own shower bench to make sure. 😂

They may be starting at you because you are so beautiful.

I work with adults and children with intellectual and physical disabilities. Some are also quadriplegic. It irritates me when we go on community outings, and people stop and stare like we're aliens. The worst ones are tourists from other countries. I stop and stare back like what are you looking at? Once I give that hard stare back, it's like oops, I'm sorry!

Everyone goes through hardships is very very true. We have to 'rest in the goodness' of God. We will never understand the reason why we 'go through' 'trials'. We see many people 'having a good time' but 'inside' they may actually have 'struggles' that we never ever know about. Strangers 'love to stare' at others. Maybe it's a mechanism for 'coping' with their own 'problems'. We need to respect everyone's 'personal space' and 'curiosity' is 'not' a 'get out clause' when you are simply apparently 'not respecting' another person. Thank you for this video. May we all know that we are surrounded by the love of the Lord Jesus Christ and that 'all things work together for good for those that love God''. Man looks on the outside but the Lord Jesus Christ looks 'on the heart' of everyone and can 'see inside us' and what we are 'really' like.

I know how you feel when people stare I find it hard when little kids ask what wrong with that person cause little kids don’t really understand but I look at life as it could be much worse I am just thankful I am able to get around and function on my own and I’m very independent so I can relate to you in a lot of ways I have cerebral palsy

You will never have any problem meeting people. With full use of your arms, you dont need help from any one. You are sooo lucky. If you dont think so, go hang out with a quad. Hanging out with quads made me realize how good I've got it. I moved out of my house when I was 16. I'm a very independent male, who had a drunk driving accident where I fell asleep driving my Subaru at 21 that left me T4 complete. No one else was injured or involved. I too hate when people try to push my wheelchair! Especially kids who grab my wheels and rock me back and forth. Argh. The thing I hate the most is any cold hands touching me. It instantly makes me cold 🥶 I recommend you try to sit in a position where you are taller than others. It's life changing. Height is very important. Height allows you to drive a conversation. You can reclaim some of your confidence by sitting higher than others. As much as I hate asking for help, I've come to realize that people love to help. By not letting people help you, you are stealing their joy. I let people help me for them. It's a selfless act that makes you feel good, and it makes them feel good. People stare at you because you're unique. A stare is flattering. A stare is affirming you are special. Smile at the people staring at you and they may smile back. As for God, I'm looking forward to a long conversation about his body design. His spine design is a real loser. And having to eat/poop/piss is ridiculous. I'd rather use photosynthesis. If you start having sensations you can't cope with, get a prescription of gabapentin 300mg tabs. It has few side effects. It cancels a lot of stabbing pains. I've been taking it for two decades without any iissues. You must eat with it to work and it take 45 minutes to kick in. Try tandom sky diving. The second video on my KZread channel shows me skydiving after my accident. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZuYt7CMY9LUfMo.html I tried sit water skiing and it was a blast. Never tried snow skiing. Hate the cold. I tried whitewater rafting. It was not fun. I felt like luggage. I was slushed around the bottom of the raft. I installed a metal lathe, metal mill, a 70 ton press, a 40 gallon air compressor, and wired everything with 240 volts. I built my own LTO battery bank that gets charged by the Sol-ark inverter and 40 solar panels I designed. The only regrets I have: 1) not having kids and 2) not going into medical school where I could have worked on a cure for spinal injuries. I assumed wrongly, all the dollars pouring into research would have found a cure. I later found out that our medical system does like cures. To be clear: You have nothing to be ashamed of. You are the next generation. Now take the lead and lead. ❤️
