I am a 66 year old African-American grandmother (I'm a cool grandma tho, lol) I happened across your channel one day just before you headed off to Semester at Sea. I had never heard of Semester at Sea so I was curious and started watching your channel. I just want to say you are a delightful young lady that any parent would be proud of. You are kind and carry yourself so well. I enjoy watching you and I hope that one day, my young granddaughters will grow up with the same self-love and confidence that you have.

9:58 Caro, as someone who was crazy active during my teens and 20 (traveling, partying, sports, academics) I can definitely tell you you are on the right track with your plans to motherhood. I am in my mid 30s and spent a good 2 years before that taking care of my body - going to the gym, enjoy lifting weights, eating better. And by God's grace, after 1 year of trying and failing, I am now pregnant with my first! A lot of women nowadays forget that our bodies can only take so much stress and working, that if we go overboard our natural God-given role to bear children is going to be hindered. I can attest because I have a LOT of women colleagues who are too career-driven that they are having trouble getting pregnant 😔 I know it's different for everyone, but taking care of your body is so so important to prepare for your journey to motherhood. It's so refreshing hearing an influential person like yourself talk about this.

I love your points on all your answers! Especially the one about your faith and surrounding yourself with goal-oriented and genuine people (something I struggle with even at my 30s!) I used to be closer to God before a lot of things happened, but it's little blessings like this video of yours that keep me reminded that I can always come home to Him. I totally agree with the statement about insecurities and the food statement. I have a giant sweet tooth as well. 😂 I am trying to be confident in myself and lose weight to help with my insecuritiee because i am insecure about my belly fat. Anyways, I plan on working out and trying to get a better diet in my routine but i dont know that i could do without my sweets. 😂😂❤
