You do not get an option but there are a few professors that offer hybrid classes. Say there are 3 classes in a week and you only have to go in person once.

do csu east bay accepts 17 backlogs for cs ?

Overall, Stony Brook is a better university but it depends on a lot of other factors too!

Is csusb good university? What is the visa approval rate?

What do you mean by part-time jobs? Off-campus is not allowed, but you can look for internships and on-campus jobs!
