Mad respect, my man! I rescue/restore/mod/hot-rod/repair & build instruments. The challenge to take on a rescue like that is immense but the rewards are exponentially greater in some cases. This is definitely one of those cases. So much blood, sweat, tears, heart & soul goes into it, you sacrifice a non-insignificant piece of yourself and it bonds you to the instrument. Such an instrument cannot be valued in only monies. 1000x better than a 'new' bass. I dig the way you kept the mojo & tung oil'd it. That was the correct thing to do, obviously. Highest praise! Exemplary work!

Your aura is very green! That fence behind you makes it easy to see. Never seen one just str8 green like that. The color of a healer...and you healed that bass. That's real talk. Shines like bold green neon light. Like...GO!

You did a excellent job on that bass. It's amazing but they have to realize a regular Smith bass is not going to have that deep growl you're bass have with out that pre amp. It sounds awesome 😮 I love it 🤩

Beautiful. Just Beautiful. That thing right there! In anyone else's eyes it probably would have been consigned to the bottom of a landfill someplace. In anyone else's hands it probably would just be an average good bass again. You had the mindset to bring it back from the dead and to turn it back into something worth your level and professionalism. It is remade for you by you and you just can't get no better than that. This video is a blessing just watching you make that thing sing. It's talkin yall! I love it!

Hello Maestro, awesome Bass and chops. I love your playing style . I was wondering, what amp were you using, pushing those 4- 10's ?

02:24 Andrew Gouché Pro Amp 1000. I had to go searchin that one myself. Hartke cabs have never really done it for me but this was like whoah! All that power pushing that single 4x10 sounded pretty tight. That whole setup. That bass. Awesome sounding rig the way he's got it. You can't forget the last most important component of it all though. Like you said. Him and his style!

You have ridiculously impressive chops. Do you achieve this by playing with a light touch? When I grow up I want to play like you 😎 Oh and what string gauge do you prefer?

A Ken Smith 5 is definitely on my list.. Try a Mayones Jabba if you get the chance if you haven’t already.. It’s a jazz copy out of Poland. Incredible bass, or atleast the one I have 😂
