Many types of screwdrivers out there. There is always the screw chisel, the screw prybar, and I know I am missing a few others.

Have you tried DeWalts gyroscopic screwdriver? It really works well and the basic first model isn't terribly expensive. I want to say the last one I bought was around 55-60 dollars for the driver, one 8volt battery and a charger for your bench or wall. They now make them that are convertible from straight to a 90° pistol grip configuration and one with that and a clutch. The convertible might be nice but not doing much woodwork, etc where a clutch would be beneficial that often, the plain version does all I need. I've never felt the need for another battery but I did get another for the box on my truck. It's one of the most fascinating tools I own because I marvel at how DeWalt(not a fan boy but some of their stuff is good)was able to cram all the mechanisms that have to be required to make this thing work into the relatively small package that it is, at a price so low I don't have any idea how they did it. The way it differentiates left and right plus a smooth modulation of bit speed amazes me. I'm like a kid though until I understand something and although the principle is like a Segway I suppose, these have me stumped as to how they put it all into one package that actually functions very well. Pretty fast and torquey with good battery life and tough. I'm a sucker for good screwdrivers among other things but ask around and see if one of your buddies has one and check it out. I bet you get one if you do. Thanks for the videos Joe. Thank you for the great comment and kind words. I wondered about the Dewalt screwdriver, but the shape reminded me of the anemic "skill twist" branded screwdriver made in the 90s. However, like you say, they can pack so much in a small space it may be a powerhouse. I'll do some research on KZread today, since the 500 is going to be rained out. Thanks, again. Cheers

@joeheilm sorry I just saw your reply. I think the looks hurt them for just that reason. It reminded me of those too. It's got pretty good torque and battery life though. They're probably still cheaper because they haven't sold well. The 90° folding one would no doubt be handy sometimes but cost more. I think the one I got at Lowes was around 50-60 bucks. Not cheap but I've beat it up and it seems pretty tough. The only trouble I've had with Dewalt is the 18 and 12 volt batteries. These 8 volts haven't quit on me. The ones that did might have been bootleg. They make them look almost exactly the same. Have a good weekend.
