Just a suggestion!! If you put some tissue paper balled up in the totes then customers can see the full front of the bag better as they walk by. Another thing, that market where you didn't have many people around you but people behind you, if you take down the back wall of your tent then people can see through to your set up and your items, maybe it will bring you more traffic. I have had places that blast music like that guitar guy, if you go up and let them know customers can't hear you talking they will turn it down. Don't know why they think everyone wants to hear that loud music. I know it drives me crazy.

OooOoh I will definitely have to try the tissue paper idea! I had the back wall up because we were back to back but there was enough space that the sun was going to be on my back pretty hard so I was trying to prevent that haha. The music for that last event was really interesting too because it was a family oriented event and he was playing loud club music it wasn't really what the occasion called for haha.

When you remove your wss..spritz or mist the tote..etc then use the wss you pulled off of the shirt to then remove what's still on there. I roll mine up on a tennis ball and just dab the items..love your vlogs and this design!

50:58 you know for windy I have the same problem with my tent side flapping and I saw another vendor use a tarp that was smaller than the side of the booth - empty space all around - and bungee cords where the tarp was held taught and it didn’t flap at all so I’m going to try that too only thing is I’m going to put up a curtain because they only come in blue or grey, which stands out a bit too much for my booth 😊

That does sound like a good idea! I'm thinking of getting a new tent anyways so I'm trying to find one where the sides have a better way to attach to the frame that isn't just velcro! I was thinking either ABC Canopy or Sam's Club has one that I've seen other people use that's pretty similar to the ABC Canopy.

I know it's definitely the most I've ever spent and hope to spend on an event but I'm hoping it is a huge return on investment. Thank you for blessing me with money making thoughts I will keep them with me all weekend haha

Ugh, I feel your pain. I have had markets where I have either had no foot traffic or like, legit, I was not the right vendor for the crowd. It caused a 5 year PTSD where I didn't go to any markets and I didn't even want to think about them, lol. So glad to know I'm not alone 😂😂

Luckily my markets have been trending upward in terms of foot traffic but that market I had on Wednesday was just in a location that there would never be any organic foot traffic ever. Even the market on Sunday had the same problem. It was near a really cute coffee shop and I thought it was going to be in the parking lot of the coffee shop but it was literally at least a football field away in the back grass of the outer edge of the parking lot. People would have to just randomly decide to come over there it was like they were walking to get coffee and had to go through us so there were very few people who were actually attending. I'm trying a different market by the same organizers in a few weeks that's in a better location (I'm hoping) but I don't really see myself doing any events with them moving forward. I like the people so much but I can't justify the time and price anymore. I can understand how you have PTSD from it lol.

Have been watching your channel for while. I also have a small business and do markets. I sell stickers, bookmarks and shirts with my designs… I also live in Florida, actually I live in Jacksonville and was looking at the list of vendors for the makers market coming up this weekend and saw that your company will be there. I may stop by and say hello! I visited this market earlier this year when I believe they did the spring one. I think your items will do well there. It seemed pretty busy, I just dont think I can sell enough of my $4 items to make the booth money back, its a pretty hefty booth fee for a weekend event. Im doing a market in a couple weeks near your neck of the woods.. Its in Avalon Park Fall Craft Fair. Its near Orlando. Not sure if you have seen their festival. You can still sign up until November 4th for it. It is set for November 11th.. its 11am to 3pm and the basic spots I believe ere $35 and premium spots are $55. I booked a premium spot. Its actually the lowest booth fee I have had, so Im hoping it works out well. Looks like a cool festival. 😊

I remember you telling me a few videos back about the Avalon Park Craft Fair, I will be at the Adjectives Fall Market in Altamonte Springs that day if not I could've come to say hey to you! I hope it goes well for you there! I do hope we do good next weekend because it is a huge monetary and time commitment for my whole family really. If not that would be a bummer but I'm going into it with very high hopes. You'll know how it goes soon haha

Love your vlogs, I wait all week for them ❤ as a small craft business I know what selling at markets and making a low amount feels like, trying to find good markets with good foot fall is quite a task in itself nowadays. So glad your doing well though, you put in such hard work and effort you deserve to do well ❤❤❤

It really depends on the market! I’ve not had a lot of luck with certain markets but I’ve definitely had a few that have great traffic!

Why not buy one so you would not be doing that
