A surprise visit was made today, with the arrival of a hermit crab shell and 5 polished rocks. We are 8 hours from the ocean, but again this could have been in the trade route for some time before reaching here. What is astonishing is the range of different objects that show up here. It would appear they are encouraging me to be more active, so I am setting out today to go fishing, and see if I can collect anything shiny for them along the way.
