Really interesting learning a little about big trucks, good job.

I worked at Ford & Slater in the late seventy’s in Grimsby and we had Bee - Line chassis straightening equipment, the worst chassis we had to repair were Mercs, the chassis were very tough, what has changed with the new chassis, are they made with weakness to absorb impacts. We did many Jobs for H&L at Killingholme. Our biggest customer was Ferrymasters straightening trailer chassis.

I watched your video with great interest. One thing I findOne thing I have noticed is that Mercedes truck are very delicate The headlight did not break and the fream was demage.

That chassis is a mess ! It looks like it's borderline strong enough to do the job , without being damaged . I thought that Mercs were much better than that ! ...... I used to run the old F8 MAN tractor units ( 22.331 etc ) and the chassis on those were built like tanks compared to this !.... I'm wondering how much a complete new chassis frame would cost for that ?

@jayen4 chassis now have to absorb impact. If they don't move the energy has to go somewhere else. It can vibrate thru the cab which could cause damage to the driver.

Nice to meet you. This is Scania s500. The driver's seat on one axis is 3 centimeters lower. Lower all the way to the end of the first axis and press the return button to raise the passenger seat first and raise the driver's seat. The air pressure on the left and right sides seems to be different, is there any way? After adjusting the uniaxial automatically, there is also a beeping sound toward the valve or where. I'm frustrated whether the hose to the driver's seat is bent or the valve is broken.

сколько работы проделано ведь это ещё и собрать нужно и чтоб оно всё работало на заводе сотни человек его саберали а тут двое и ещё один на подхвате

You have to wonder if Merc punching all those holes in the chassis for every build option (cheaper to produce no doubt) hasn't weakened the torsional strength of the chassis legs. Maybe even designed to collapse? You don't see this on Volvos or Scanias. Just me but I would be putting new chassis legs in that not having it re-stressed all over again although I know the people at Chassis Alignment are the best. Scania Master Tech. just voicing an opinion not insulting anyone!

I wonder at what point do these become a financial write off, I know trucks in a good quality are quite hard to find and delivery of new trucks is a long way off
