Another CS Lister “ The crusty mongrel “
One of the CS Listers of mine , that i thought id better collect from a shearing shed that went from diesel power to electricity driving the original line shaft and then to stand alone power units. I was given it a few years ago but only just picked it up . I’m rounding up these engines i haven't collected through being slack and too busy.
Thankfully there is no society for the prevention of cruelty to Listers, as you will see.

No future progress on this one mate. I’ll just leave it now but i have a few more to retrieve so I’ll video their retrieval.

Thanks Regi , it starts perfectly now , and runs very well. I have yet another CS Lister to collect from a shed in the near future.

Ive seen lots of real Listers in India and also Lister copies made in India.
i dont know if it matters to this engine but i've noticed that some diesel engines like to start with bit less than a max fuel amount that is commonly used for starting. I think the excess fuel cools down the combustion making it harder to start. it just looked to me from the amount of white smoke that it was getting fuel by the gallon :D

You could be right NuffMan , I’ve thought the same thing over the years. This time though it is the huge amount of oil i put down the bore to help un seize the piston. You can hear it gurgling at some stage.

My old mate might have that injector pipe. I did ask him but he hasn’t got back to me yet.
