My English teacher played this in class and asked us to fill in the blanks on a worksheet the missing lyrics. It opened a journey to the greatest form of music. I truly thank my English teacher for introducing me to Pink Floyd.

Услышал в 81-м , мне было 14 ! Так и считаю до сих пор что такое сыграть и записать в те годы могли лишь избранные . Да и еще Обратная сторона луны конечно же , так та еще раньше была .

В Томске напротив студенческой обащиши в 79-ом году появиась надпись "The WALL " - до сих пор традиция жива и надпись регулярно обновляется. Поиск "The Wall Томск " не даст соврать . 😀 Ну собственно там рядом памятник Кирову - ему сапоги тоже регулярно красят... .

40 years later or 400. this will still be played, listened to, enjoyed and appreciated.

The kids think $$$ when they hear this- THEY SUED THE BAND FOR PERFORMANCE ROYALTIES AND WON IN COURT. They did enjoy the experience. It was kind of School Of Rock before School Of Rock... Then with a change in copyright laws they realized they could be compensated.

God - I did some more research- the kids didn’t really sue the band but sought compensation for their performance and received @£500 pounds a piece. At the time they were given tickets to a Pink Floyd Concert, an album and a single...

My god I grew up listening to this on the radio. If only I'd have known then how much of an impact it would have on my life, for ever. Pink Floyd have been in my life for over 40yrs now, and they'll be with me until the day I die........I've seen them play live, Roger Waters twice - The Walll / Us & Them, and, I have a drumstick from Nick Mason that he threw into the crowd in a festival in Belgium, and I caught it. Yes, I consider myself very fortunate.

My dad gave me some too he gave me dark side. meddle .the final cut .the wall and delicate sound of thunder and all the Roger Waters solo albums alleen in vinyl even amused to death

This is such a good quality! Never heard so many details of this song! I recorded this video on compact cassette with my 3-head deck and it sounds great. Maybe the best cassette I've ever recorded. Pink Floyd forever

For a album that has it all this is one that stayed HOT all through both 1979/80 and it went straight to platinum status.

You have to listen to the whole side of the record! Better yet, watch the movie and prepare for your mind to be blown. One summer I went to see Pink Floyd concerts =9= times. Boy those were the days. The Wall is the greatest album of all time

You watching vinyl is rotating, you hear beautiful music from pink Floyd, its magic.

My cousin told me an anecdote about this passage. After the LP had been marketed, one of his comrades had bought the record and while listening to this piece, he thought that a helicopter had passed over his house, so he interrupted the broadcast to listen to it again. He stopped believing for a second time. that the same helicopter was passing over his home and unleashed a torrent of curses against the pilot of the aircraft and it was only the third time that he understood his mistake
