Im not sure what point was missed, but the comment hits deep and true to the mark, 'They want us to be ashamed of our children.' (yes) They DO want us to be ashamed of our children... because it separates the parental bond and creates division amongst the family, as well as deep harm to the child in the form of core beliefs about who they are. I admire younger people healing. It is significant to the idea that society is healing as a whole, that we are creating a new earth.

There’s a lot to process from the event, such as the thoughts of being unclean. You should also factor the other effects, such as the amount of people who didn’t believe her. She had no significant protection/support until Anonymous did something about it. The feeling of helplessness sucks a lot. You just have to think in the perspective of that person. It’s hard to properly understand without experiencing it.

The same thing happened with Rehteah parsons and she was as close to unconscious as you can get without being passed out and she ended up killing herself the bullying was so bad.

First of all, I applaud the Anonymous for all the noble work they're doing. Y'all are an inspiration and a beacon of hope. As a female student in the marching band for a visiting team to Steubenville (in the 2021-22 season), we had a terrible experience. The boys ca- called us and the older male adults patrolled the visiting team's ladies' room and concession lines for girls who went to the restroom or the lines by themselves... safe to say we have not gone back there since...

I agree. So often they get past long special treatment and got to have trouble because the school doesn't want to lose their star players. I remember the high school I was at right before a game one time all the football players were wearing their jerseys and hanging out with each other and I thought of what I herd mob mentality it was. The high school coach was a complete jerk and always gave me a look like since I didn't play sports I didn't matter. Then he couldn't figure out after I was out of school why whenever he threw his hand up at me I just looked at him like drop Dead.

The football and baseball teams always get more funding at my school, i did cross country and we have recycled uniforms from track season that have been used for probably a decade now. for all but one of the meets i went to we didn't even get a tent. And none of the meets had a team water cooler.

The fact that the replies were, “we just want to get past this” proves the problem. A crime of this nature and magnitude reveals that there is a problem with the town and a lack of accountability among the older generation.

Seems I heard somewhere that, evil isn't a red guy with horns and a tail. Evil is the person living next door, sitting beside you, who just wants an easy life, and is willing to sacrifice their relatives, neighbours, friends, and especially strangers, just as long as they aren't being inconvenienced.

People from small towns tend to not be the brightest of people, specifically in america.

It gave her relief, to get it off her chest. It’s heavy to carry all your life. The people who did the crimes, absolutely, need to be held accountable.

They really said they'd like to stop seeing the story in the media so that they can "get past it and heal and move on" like it was some minor inconvenience

"You want us to be ashamed of our children!" When they pull stuff like that and laugh over it? Absolutely.

All caps is a sign of emotional instability, ur comment will appear to be someone raging so hard and not thinking rationally. So its better not all caps so it dont look like ur speaking like when ure in a fight with someone and just shouting at each other, not thinking properly with what ure saying.

All the people in his video who say they just "want to heal and move on" really mean "Shut up and sweep it under the rug" these people are just as horrible than the people who did the act!

The lack of punishment for these people is astonishing.

Throughout the video, I don't think I heard any of those townspeople talk about the girl. It's just the town and it's image. Disgusting

"things can get out of hand" That is an underhanded statement. That was the issue from the get go. When you underhand a serious issue, it is insulting to some. So that opened the door to Anonymous. Justice should be swift and just especially in horrendeous acts.

Anonymous had to create havoc the town wasn’t doing anything about this and I bet that if anonymous didn’t do anything the town would remain silent about the rape. Sometimes you need a little chaos.

The subject at hand was a girl who was wronged in an inhumane manner and all he wants to convey to the world is that the town wasn't bad? How messed up is that? I hope she got/gets the help she needs, I can't imagine the turmoil she had to endure in addition to this becoming national news. Just think, from her perspective you have the whole country that knows what happened to you, a town where literally half of the population hates you because they are blaming you, and on top of that the boys who did this most likely harassing and threatening her further while all that was happening.

I was shocked at how many people cared more for the image of the town then they did what happened to the victim. It is mind boggling that it would take a group of Heroes to stand up against the town in order to get Justice for a victim!

What you have to understand is: Anonymous isn't a "club." It does not have a leader. It's members don't know one another. It does not have a membership or initiation process. It's just a group of people with a common interest.

as someone who has gone through something like that, yeah, it's definitely a trauma that lasts you your entire life. only 3 people in my life even know i'm a victim because talking about it makes me feel like i'm reliving my trauma. and i remember for so long after it happened, i had intense ptsd and just generally scared of being alone or out at night and being around grown men. to this day, i'm still very wary of grown men.

I was against therapy for the longest time but after being forced to go I realized it actually helped me process my PTSD, shame, and trauma. I hope things get better for you. You didn't deserve that.
