    LAWYER ANOKYE, may you and your generation prosper, long life to you. He got the name of the News reader on GBC/GTV correct SELMA VALCOTT(fair beautiful lady).A Nigerian settlement in OSU is OSU ALATA.One interesting and funny history about the 1948 boycott and looting was that many people from Osu got cans of unknown liquid from the Indian and Lebanese shops only to realize it was red paint, so homes in Osu used them to paint the floors/doors of their houses. Those 3 soldiers were Private ODARTEY LAMPTEY(not Obetsebi), Corporal Attipoe and Sargeant ADJETEY. The two Gas were notable sons of LA(Labadi). Sargeant ADJETEY and private ODARTEY LAMPTEY'S grave is near my JHS La Enobal 1&2JHS, sadly enough now the youth place football in that cemetery and a pathway to St. Paul's JHS when we have to buy breaktime snacks and food.

    Who told this man that every country has one founder including America? He doesn't know what he's talking about. America has founding fathers and so is Ghana. George Washington was not the only founding father of America. In fact, George Washington's contribution to the foundation of America was even minimal. People like Thomas Jefferson who authored the declaration of Independence including John Adams, Benjamin Franklin made a huge contribution to the foundation of America. James Madison is also credited for the constitution of USA. In Ghana, the big six played a significant role in the foundation of Ghana. Being the first President after independence does not mean that President is the sole founder of a country.

  • @amoahfrank5162

    @amoahfrank5162

    3 ай бұрын

    Generally there is only one founder of a state. Now let's discuss why the USA describe their situation as founding fathers which cannot be equated to a Ghanaian scenario. When America was founded by Washington there was only first 13 states. In that case Washington up until a certain date would have been considered the Only Founder of USA (which indeed still stands). However knowing that a state is as a country on its own, and that currently we have over 50 states of the USA, can only mean that there were others who added to the original number of states that formed the first unity called USA. Hence rightfully, Jefferson (who was instrumental for the declaration of independence) and the others also rightfully qualifies to be called founding members or fathers as their contribution was enormous and altered the landmass of USA including laws. However for the case of Ghana, all those qualities found in the founding members of the USA can only be found in one man only, the man Kwame Nkrumah. There is no founder of a country who never got help (even a clerk or a janitor who sanitized the home of the founder also helped the founder yet you can't add the janitor as founding member). Hence Nkrumah is the only founder modern day Ghana. It is that simple, apart from Nkrumah, there is no other person who qualifies to be a founder in Ghana. Until Ghana is expanded into other territories (or until Ghana's territorial boundary is altered) as originally caved by Nkrumah by another person, Nkrumah is the "sola conditor", the only founder of modern state named GHANA despite the crucial help received from Gbedema and co. But JB Danquah and his likes don't even come close.

    @charlesandohmenson4207 : Ghana became Ghana after it's independence. It used to be called the Gold Coast so which party gained the independence for Ghana?, was it UGCC or CPP?!. The party that got independence for the Gold Coast which changed it's name to Ghana was CPP and it's founder was Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah and not J.B Danquah. I don't think it's hard to understand unless you are one of those who vote blindly for crooks, nepotic and kleptocratic self serving leaders. What we have today in Ghana is not democracy, it's a corrupt political system headed by a bunch of family crooks and friends who see Ghanaians as you seem to be. If you really want to know how J.B Danquah would have ruled Ghana, just see the presidency of the dwarf called Akufo Addo. I am not an NDC voter by the way!.

    Further more, the original Big Six were those on the podium with Kwame Nkrumah, namely Dr.Kwame Nkrumah, Komla Gbedema, Azako Welbeck, Archie Caseley Hayford, Kojo Botsio and Krobo Edusei. Those on the Ghanaian currency like Akufo Addo's father, J.B Danquah, Paa Willy, Obetsebi Lamptey and Ako Adjei were only stooges of the capitalists and imperialists who the whites were just fooling and playing with, in order to delay our independence. Get your facts straight before you come on social media to spew your ignorance because, there are those of us who debate with our equals, the others we teach .

    It's amazing how Ashantis are playing second fiddle to Akyems. Akuffo-Addo bought all of them. I think Kuffour created the false narratives. Other tribes should rise up and purnish these Akyem mafias cos they have tried to twist history to favour them since the formation of NPP
