Anyway, if you're still around...good catch. I came to the comments on this rather old video to see if anyone else besides me noticed.

OH...MY...GOD.... man! this Mars retrograde is a killer. I totally understand why now... funny enough though (very loosely said) Mars retro 28 degrees (5th house of children) squares my natal Uranus which is at 28 degrees 3rd house (0 virgo rising here), last Friday an almost accidental drowning with my two year old son on the river in front of our house and this AM as I went quickly to bathroom, he somehow opened a childproof cap after climbing on counter and ingested some of my medication. What a week! This from an extremely diligent mother. Funny I decided to just watch some of your videos tonight instead of reading about astrology because I said to myself: : how come other mars retrograde didn't grab me like this? Just finished all of the “chosen” podcast then this showed up in my algorithm where I didn’t think a 10 minute episode was possible. Found a long one. The great thing about being old is I can actually prepare by checking then comparing. 😜 I’ll test this. The last one I listened to in my library was the age of Aquarius episode, I hoped it was a dead issue until this also showed in my algorithm with astrologers for some reason. Funny story, that’s been out of my consciousness since someone tried to make me watch Zeitgeist where it went into how Jesus was fake because astrology is fake which then went into age of Aquarius poo which made me worry because so many people were into that and never caught that being missed. Astrology and the age of pisces is a myth but they’re full in on the new age Aquarius; I can’t take anything/anyone seriously after that type of mental failure. Okay, it was touched on that episode. The more I study astrology the more I move towards the traditional rulers where the age of pisces makes sense if it’s a Jupiter age of inflation, expansion, religious zealots, etc then begins to collapse into an age of Saturn. I hated seeing having an Aquarius moon because of the new age stuff until I learned more about Aquarius which doesn’t exactly have any spiritual side per se. I don’t know where free love and healing crystals plus everything else with excessive individualism falls into Aquarius. If by some myths Aquarius becomes god by giving gods water instead of wine, it makes sense that an age of Aquarius after 2000 years of drunken excess would happen and it looks like it is. Cosmos and psyche, to me, in its intro is a warning about the actual dawning of the age of Aquarius. If I recall correctly, the Mayan calendar was just went they stopped but I recall it meant end of harvest. Going into Aquarius may mean the booze ran dry. 😜 Antichrist? Meh, if there was one they’d be like Pee Wee Herman since they’d have to be Christian leading Christian’s and they’d have to get the world to agree on one thing which is impossible. But the great generation of said age of Aquarius would be the generation of hippies to yuppies with ideologies of excessive self plus greed is good may be the “antichrist” energy that destroys the planet where Saturn restriction is the only option to survive. Positive vibes! I like the 2-3 hour episodes better. There’s a 4 1/2 under this one, that’s a bit much. Annual profections… I think it’s 8th so Mars… not feeling mars so far, but we’ll see what that technique actually is. Age of Aquarius song is Pailhead-man should surrender.. (Reading on annual profections: sounds legit)

Tnx chris! I have question. Other planet except sun, moon, north and south node in eclipse chart, can aspect with planet in native chart? Is it important?

Interesting technique. Since I started experimenting with it: I have to say my happiest year was 25 and worst year was 37. Both same ruler years- 2nd house activated, ruled by Saturn, my chart is a night chart. So the greater malefic. SO how comes 25 was the best time of my life and 37 was hell? Progressed chart was really amazing during 25, transits too, and not so good during 37, so I can only assume progressions and transits matter a lot. (My Rising sign is Capricorn, Saturn is in Scorpio conjucnt Pluto, square Mercury and trine Sun). Any thoughts? Thanks!

so what happens in that area during a planets/house dormancy? what happens to that energy? can it still be triggered even if not during a profection?

I believe transits going through the ruling planet for that profection year are taken into consideration too, do you count inconjunction and sasequadrate aspects too?

I would just stick with the standard natal chart for the purpose of profections and not relocate it, since the basic premise is that all of the major events in the life are indicated in the chart cast for the moment and location of birth, and that is why one can apply timing techniques to it.

Yes, I would recommend using the traditional rulers for this technique. Saturn will be the ruler of the year for two years in a row for Capricorn and Aquarius, although what changes is planets that are placed in those signs in the natal chart, planets aspecting those signs, and transiting planets that are going through those signs over the course of the year.

Thanks for your great videos. The Profections texhnique and the activation of the ruler planets explains a lot. In the modern system, we have so many combinations of planet activations via transits, progressions, etc, and it didnt make sense which activation is most impactful. Thanks again.

Ex: this yr is an 8th hse yr for me; Virgo=lord 8 using whole sign hse. during this year, could one expect positive outcomes When Mercury is transiting thru Gemini or Virgo?

It is important when the planet that is activated in a given year transits through the specific sign that is activated by profection, although that doesn't necessarily extend to the other domicile, from what I've seen.

What if the ruler of the year is a well dignified out of sect malefic?

This is cool. Where do you start counting from? In my mind the first house should be zero and the second house should be your first birthday, right. I feel this is an important note to make or your entire life's profections will be out by a sign and house. Am I right?

What happens if a Malefic is the lord of the year but is Bonified by an overcome from both benefics? Will the effects still be negative?

If a planet is well-situated in the chart like that then it will be a constructive and successful year, even if the ruler is a malefic. Planetary condition in a given chart is more important than inherent distinctions between benefic and malefic, and the malefics can be quite positive when well-placed.

So it changes each solar year, changing signs/planets every birthday !?!
