as somebody who celebrates the Midsummer Solstice, I'm so excited to get the chance to watch this before doing evening rituals

On the subject of the world turmoil, I want to remind everyone that we all went though the same thing in the period after 9/11, and the good news is, we eventually got over the shock and confusion and got back to normal. The bad news is... the same as the good news. Once these protests/riots/pandemic/chaos pass and the dust clears, we'll all be (sadly) right back where we started. We've all forgotten how many times we've gone through this before.

I was worried your foundation was dreadfully yellow on you, but it's the bright green walls reflecting on your skin. You'll definitely want bright white lights for your makeup station to help balance that out. With that intense of color reflection, what looks lovely and balanced in your mirror will pull too red or too yellow when out in sunlight or under bluer LED lights. I'm made many a grave error in front of a poorly lit vanity before. Also YES KYLE DOING SHAKESPEARE YESSSSS.

So hyped for this!! I love Midsummer, I’m sure this’ll be amazing.

This has been a good summer for the Bard, with the Globe and Stratford releases. I'm also working on a "Whose Shakespeare Is It Anyway?" medievalist class with soliloquy performances in audience-sourced pastiche. I look forward to the performance!!

This city has been without relief and I know if you feel half the way I do (I haven't taken a single photograph in so many months) it's been crippling. Hey coping in the year 2020 is becoming an increasingly impossible thing to do elegantly, just know you have a ton of people who love and support your work, and to what little we can see of the real you behind the screen, we care about you as a human being. It's complicated depending on where you are. I've been in disbelief since Friday night. Recently found out that my friend across the street passed away. We did a wellness check cause one of my friends haven't heard from him in 48 hours so time of death is between Wednesday after midnight and Friday. Also been keeping an eye on his cat, and thank God that the landlord was taking care of him, cause I didn't see or hear him almost all weekend. That's cool that you started a theatre company. Nice change of pace from streaming. I've been catching up on my painting projects and hit that block of I know I need to do this but not feeling it. Not sure if I'll be working that Saturday, if it's a long show I'll at least catch what I can.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with calling them riots, because a “riot” is in no way an inherently bad thing. Pride, for example, was, and should be, a riot.

Oh man, due to COVID my job used the opportunity to permanently reduce Saturday hours from 9-7 to 9-4 So on one end I get paid 3 hours less a week, but on the plus end I get to see the stream?

I called it sadly, and I’m pretty disappointed. All of these bait and switch deceptions for charity live streams are emotionally exhausting and frankly degrade any worthy causes they’re associated with. Do a charity event, maybe even release a video promoting it, but it’s not new or clever to be vague to the point of dishonesty to trade on the last nerve of a world run dry for a few extra clicks. This is the 2020 equivalent of a boob thumbnail, but worse because it’s being attached to things that matter.
