First Kai is already 7'3", 245 pounds 21 yrs. old, and turning 22 this May. He is still in the normal range of the standards of BODY MASS INDEX which is 22 for his height., until the weight of 270, he is on the borderline of obesity. His training target weight is 260 pounds. He is heavier from the first time he joined NBA camps, he was a mere 218 pounds and 7'2". Kai is almost as old as Chet Holmgren who stands 7'1" and 195 pounds, and is also turning 22 yrs. old this May. Kai's father, Irvin Sotto is 6'6" and 209 pounds and may be heavier since he retired. This means that through age Kai may reach 270-280 pounds Wembanyana is 7'4", 209 pounds and just turned 20 years old last January.

Give Kai a chance. You will see what he can do. He is now one of the top scorer in his present team and continously improving.
