Man I used to play this one ages ago. Never really understood the game back then. I knew literally nothing about RTS and managing settlements in these kind of games. Now so many years later, even though I don't play this game, I can understand it so much better just from having played other games. Might give this an install again.

you don't know what it is rts lol:) you sure don't know anything about rst,management and economic games... RTS game are like starcraft,warcraft,AoE,Empire Earth series,Rise of Nations,Stronghold,Comand and Conquer series, Cossack series etc..

This one is still my favourite, even tho 1800 is amazing

Anno 1404 was my first experience with Anno back in... maybe 2017? I thought it was just a city builder, like Sim City but once I started playing I got very confused with the product chains and different worker levels. I kinda gave up with it until 1800 came out and I got super addicted to that game. Thanks so much for this series, I might just reinstall 1404 and see what all I missed!

This Anno looks awesome. Never played any Anno game but I'm very excited to see how this gameplay will turn out. I loved the last Anno 1800 Series so much, I'm a big fan and can't wait to watch more of you playing this !

instead of normally right clicking, If you shift+rightclick it will queue the commands for your ship and move them to each location one after another

They didn’t remove the campaign. If you‘re a normal person you‘re either playing on uplay or steam (which still requires uplay) and in both you can choose between 1404 and 1404:Venice. 1404 = 6 Scenarios + Campaign. Venice = 18 Scenarios + No campaign.

Would love to see a new series Anno 1800 with the new extreme mod you played before. But without the bugs. :)

Venice. Oh sweet memories.

You don't need to establish relations with Al Zahir in order to settle southern islands. You lost some time there. Also you can establish an "Oriental" city even though you settled with an "Occidental" main warehouse. You can change it later if you prefer the look of the oriental warehouse, but the point is you can settle those southern islands as early as you want even if you haven't found the Grand Vizier's trading post yet.

Don't think i have ever seen 1404 so this will be cool

I just gotta say that I really enjoy your videos! What do you think about a series of ANNO 1404 where you obtain the golden ship? It might take a while tho :D The Sultans' Mosque within 5 hours has just broken me ;D

A gamer ‘red echo’ has a really nice gameplay for getting that achievement. Thanks to her and the unoffical patch, I got the golden ship. It took me half a year 🙈😂

leif settling next to you is kinda bummer XD. happened with me aswell before that's why after i settle in my main island i always bring some tools and wood when exploring the map with my flagship so i can settle in another island if needed. imagine if that's the kardinal LOL

Glad you like the content! 1701 is kind of like a smaller version of 1404 with every system being a bit weaker so probably no 1701 content any time soon! Sorry :( More 1800 after this again though!

As a Cities Skylines player, I spend a lot of time in first person (with mods) just watching my city. I feel like that would be a bad idea with the pace of Anno

actually just finished the other extreme difficulty anno 1404 lets play, lets watch a new one then I guess ^^

you could pull the road into the right click build menu; also F11 pulls up an additional menu for increasing speed and such

Also - you cant consider them ones. One is 3 years ago and the other one is unfinished. Maybe try to show the campaign. This game is famous for its military after all.

yeah Leif settling right next to you was an AI mistake I think. that weird little island he chose has cider and hemp, both starter island necessities. AI thought it was an actual first island lol. Probably his mistake will help you in the long run

honestly though if only ubisoft isn't such a difficult platform to work with i would have love to give this gem a replay, but as it stands my 1404 doesn't even want to run in my new laptop and i have no idea why

Is this a new version? The Venice version I have doesn't do the 'cultivate' mechanic. Still uses plots for production goods. Is it any different?

Who is the best and worst Jorgensen from all Anno games?

I think restricting access to goods for your citizens had lost you money. You have stocked up cider so quickly you immedietely started selling it, which is less profitable than giving it to your citizens. The cider they didn't drink during the prohibition is a money lost, was painful to see especially as you were approaching bottom of your coffin. I can understand restricting access to a limited good like tools in Eden Burning from 1800, when you want to leapfrog citizens to next level and generally not give them said good, but what would be the reason behind restricting cider when you have ample supply of it? Even in the times of 50% coverage, the consumption rate and tax scales accordingly, so it's not like you are losing money when their bellies are half empty. You are only really losing when they are not consuming

Fun fact: Ashgabad is the capital of Turkmenistan IRL.

This game looked right up my alley but i am dismayed it has a "Cardinal" character who seems to be portrayed much more negatively than the secular characters. Everyone should be disgusted by anti-Catholic bigotry.
