I remember Cardiff coming to Burnley on the last day of the 92/93 season as Champions, never seen so many lads. Better than anyone else imho

Thank you Annis🏴❤️
Brillant interview at last respect to him 1984 Cardiff v Chelsea I was one of the ones trying to get in there end. We always seemed to be on top but they didn’t run they stood
A good and honest insight into the hooligan scene back then, a top firm back in the day and well respected, always great away support and Ninian park was an absolute fortress.
Yes lads been waiting for this
Annis top bloke a good friend I’ve had the pleasure of personally going to a few games with annis 👍👍💙💙💙
Nearly spat me tea out there watching the Manscaped ad 😂 Gold lads and subbed because of it 👊
Top bloke had the pleasure of meeting Annis in Majorca we went to a local Majorca derby game great day out a true gentleman
Top job as always bro keep it up 💯🙌🏽
Nice one Annis mate, fairdos good honest interview, you're a sound fella. Cheers from a Wrexham lad who was there in the 70-90s. 🐑🏴 We know what we are Baaaah.
That Shrewsbury game was nuts 😆,all thecaway piled out before th3 final whistle .
Great watch ..Annis honest and sincere 👍👍
He's an interesting guy, glad to listen to him, never had a beer 🍺 till 36.
Everton FA Cup 5th round 1977, my late old man (life long Everton from Bootle) took me and my brother, scary is not the word….Everton has always been my life long passion on the field, Cardiff off the field were some of the best days of my life, the fashion, the camaraderie, the respect, great memories

Fair play to the bloke ,seems like the real deal and not a cocky git either. He knows what he’s talking about as I had a few dust ups in the lower leagues ,those clubs had small but game crews. The fashion was great and it was aright crack, however I keep hearing different versions of the “swim away “ incident. But he is right about Newport they have a good firm on their day.Regards from a Ipswich fan ,we aren’t rated but even us in the mid to late eighties had a go when called upon just ask the 657 when they came to PortmanRoad 86 87 season ,even I was shocked how we stood our ground.
Well respected Cardiff all over the country good firm
Enjoyed that never was i n the soul crew but always loved the banter at ninian park .Some great times and stories. Never boring supporting the city is it .Interesting video lads 👍
Well done Annis great interview mate always honest haven’t seen you for ages as I’m one of the ones like you who grew up after I had a little one early 2000’s and turned my back on it all but by fuck have I got some amazing memories just like you that nobody can ever take away from us all the best mate little pete
Brilliant viewing that. Interesting to hear about county back in the day.
cardiff city fans in the old grange end was fucking amazing i had the opertunity of being a supporter from a young age and then a steward later on both sides was electric nothing can compare to it ninian park was a legend of its own and nothing can come close to it. i got a chance to meet alot of the young bloods and soul crew lot they was all amazing lads.

Surprised people of south wales don't talk more about the hate between the westcountry and south wales seen it first hand myself when a cardiff fan got bottled in the game all thw taffies took it out on the toilets or when bristol city fans and swansea fans we're pelting snowballs at each other in victoria park filled with stones and glass
Great interview true what he said about boro frontline top firm
Arrrrr…..finally, i get an explanation…..always wondered what Annis was doing (with his misses I guess she was) at Earls Court Underground just as the Chelsea/ManCity match was finishing, about 15/20yr back….and anyone who’s wondering, he’s even bigger than he looks In real like haha, and as me& me 2 mates were decked out in Paul&Shark, he was onto us immediately 😂😂 Top Podcast, Top Lad
I was lucky to know John-S, Farah, W griffiths. Big respect to uncle Annis. Newport county respect too….

Great interview👍👍
Wicked this one bro
Met Annis once what a gent in the Ninian pub true Cardiff born and Cardiff bred BLUEBIRDS
Brilliant watch and very honest I am the bolton fan mentioned who met Annis in Brussels 2000 always found him to be a top friend and very family oriented. The thing I love is the most about him and his books are that when cardiff got “done” it was told the way it was unlike other books you read where they claim that they never got “done “ . Annis definitely has blue blood and never met anyone on my England travels or bolton travels who loves a club as much as Annis loves the bluebirds!

Same thing here. Popped up in my algorithm randomly, decided to watch it because I remember seeing this bloke on that Hooligan documentary on the BBC in the early 2000’s. 2001-2002 I think. I wasn’t disappointed, a very good interview. Ninian Park was a proper old school ground and I was disappointed when it was demolished and Cardiff City moved into their new ground. Most of the old school grounds have gone now and that’s such a shame.
After watching this, I have a lot of time for this guy. Seems to talk nothing but honesty. I’m a Swansea fan from Port Talbot but my dad and uncles are all Cardiff. My dad was one of the teenagers (16 at the time) at the swim away incident and has told me that story many of times. Said Annis took him under his wing up in Blackpool and he was a top guy.
Seems like a top genuine bloke
Great interview, 👍💯
A very loyal Cardiff fan but more importantly a top bloke. Wish him all the best in his retirement in the sun.
Love this, as a Cardiff fan from the States, Annis was one of the Bluebird’s who welcomed me as a fan a decade ago. Love hearing what it was like back when he was a young fan, Such a great interview.

Enjoyed the podcast .Annis is a top bloke. He's honest and says it is as it is, very passionate about his family and his club. I have read most of his books, and they are really good reads. As for cardiff, a top firm who could pull serious numbers had a few rows with them over the years, huge respect, ian bwfc.
You can never bring back or forget the the old days ! They were fucking brilliant ! Hat's off to Annis , nice bloke . The Gut
I Agree support your home town team
Remember being chased by Cardiff as a kid, one waving a knife. Don't think Bolt would've beat me that day. 😂 From a swans fan, both have definitely had their day but I would without a doubt say that Cardiff had a very good mob. Great memories YJB!
Well respected guy from a well respected mob. I went to the cup game which Annis mentions. Absolute bedlam.

Went down the City, in the old Grange end, late 70s early 80s and Lots of Llanrumney boys there, who were always fighting with away fans walking to the car park and then a bit later, early 80s a group called B-Troop were always in the thick of it, in the north bank and a few other ends and lots of fighting with Chelsea and others all the way to the old bus station. Great days ! ✌️🏴

He's right about the numbers. Went there in the 70's with Millwall and it was unbelievable. Probably the best day at football in my life. Fair play Cee-ar-diff!
I must admit I don't know of this guy, but he seems to have a lot of respect for being the real deal and not a bullshitter. I'm a mancunian Man City fan of 55yrs old and I must admit that during the year's Man City were in the old 2nd and 3rd division (championship and league 1) we'd meet Cardiff quite a few seasons. Going Ninian Park was definitely a test of your bravery, they had a handy mob. Also they'd come to Manchester in numbers. Respect
I think he told truth all way through this . He came to sland for reserves v gooncastle reserves he was mates with my mates so had a bit crack with him canny kid .had lots of respect for sland mostly with england away days . Hope hes well .
Very nice!
Enjoyed that interview. Annis is a bit younger than me but I too followed the club from early 70’s through the years. I’ve read a few of his books, “shattered dreams to Wembley way” my favourite.

Interesting interview, can't say I agree with the hooliganism etc and I was a young kid in the 80s and saw it up close. However, can't disagree and dispute that Annis is a huge CCFC fan
