Glad to see/listen to another metal godess on Beste Zangers after Floor Jansen!! Hope Anneke gets as much credit as Floor did!

Don't think she will but. It's mainly down to Floor being way more flashy(powerful, etc etc). Personally, nothing beats Anneke in terms of female singers. She's just so lovely to listen to, her voice is something else.

She has a beautiful clear voice and personaly i think she is better than Floor in this genre, i really do. I do not understand anyway why they keep compare these two beautiful singers, just because they sing both metal???? We do'nt do that in any other genre to other singers, why? They are all professionals, its there job really, and everything else is a matter of tast.

In Holland the radio stations are more interested in making money by feeding the kids with musical duds as Femke Louise and Lil Kleine and the mainstream stars. They discovered Floor Jansen recently while she was already famous in many other countries. Just like Anneke van Giersbergen.

There are only a handful of women who sing from atop Mount Olympus. Anneke is one of them. What an angel.

Gister voor het eerst gehoord, instant tranen, muzikaal zo teer, gezongen door een prachtige vrouw met zo'n zachte energie. Ach en wat een stem, prachtig en die subtiele loopjes in de zang. Ik heb hem al tig keer geluisterd. Wat fijn toch dat we dit hier in ons steeds killer wordend Nederland nog steeds in huis hebben. ❤

Anneke is such a treasure. I hope the Netherlands truly appreciates her.

@@michaelhoilman6897 It is. Many times i heard nowadays there is no one making good music anymore. I always say: look past the top ****- junk we get fed by commercial radiostations every day. And that is also why we have to appreciate the stations who promote alternative music. By the way: I strongly recommend the Belgian version of this show "Liefde voor muziek".

Nope, unfortunately she is not as well known as Sharon Den Adel, Floor Jansen etc. She's one of the most underrated singers in our country unfortunately.

Once again,a metal goddess owning this show. Next year bring Simone Simmons!

Niemand heeft zo'n stem als zij heeft .. Ze is uniek .

Stunning Anneke....voice so clear and distinctive.....why don't we hear her on British TV and radio?....Come on England.....do something with Anneke......give her her own show....like Beste Zangers....we have NOTHING like this show in the UK.....there is a fund of brilliant artistes here.....stuck behind a wall of RAP and ......well, don't get me started.....THanks Holland, for showing the way....bless you all! Sinds donderdag wel keer of acht dit nummer geluisterd, nog nooit van mijn leven zo vaak gehuild! Diep in mijn ziel en hart geraakt. Prachtig. Dit moet heel Nederland horen!

Ik ook! Ik had er weinig van verwacht omdat ik alleen de feestnrs van Belle kende. Maar wat schrijft zij toch goede liedjes en wat heeft ze een mooie levensinstelling en charmes :)

@@maanvis81 Even een opmerking, Belle heeft dit nummer niet geschreven. Het is de soundtrack van de gelijknamige Spaanse film uit 1998 met o.a. Emma Suarez en Paz Vega. Dino Fekaris en Freddie Perren hebben het nummer gecomponeerd. Ik vond het, net als de meeste Spaanse films, een hele goede film.

Anneke is the enchantress who sings the emotion just how she feels it. Eleven colors in one breath and sentence. Not the queen but the Cinderella-SnowWhite that brings all of us shy people out to listen as she weaves and sparkles a song she just invented to accompany whatever she was doing. Breathtaking...

I would classify her as the "Queen Mother" of metal, since she inspired so many of the other metal goddesses, including the Valkyrie Goddess herself.

Een detail, iemand de arm gezien van Bökkers aan het eind? Het leek alsof hij haar een enorme knuffel wilde geven. De brok in de keel bij Karsu was ook meer dan zichtbaar. Dan kan je niets anders zeggen dat Anneke het heel goed gedaan heeft.

Anneke zingt fantastisch met haar prachtige rauwe randje. Dat geeft me iedere keer kippenvel en komt binnen in warmte. 🔥 Belle is ook een prachtige zangeres die ons al vele jaren begeleid met haar muziek als we op reis gaan naar verre vakantieoorden. 🔥

Anneke's voice is magical, it has it's own natural vibrato. One of the greats for sure. She and Floor have the utmost respect for each other, check out Valley of the Queens-Ayreon, and yes they are both Queens.

I agree. Anneke, Floor and Sharon den Adel are indeed befriended and collaborated with Arjen Lucassen for his Ayreon projects. Anneke did a concert tour in Europe with Sharon (Within´Temptation) in 2011. Three Dutch musical fairies, each of them with their own musical identity. There is no other country in the world who has such musical queens like these ladies.
